You will not be able to remove the anchor from the wall once the wing has been deployed. You will be able to remove the screw and reinstall.

Mounting 45# mirror which has slips over 2 screws. Can I install anchor then back out screw 1/4" to be able to mount mir

Answer

Backing out the screw a 1/4" will loosen the toggle connection. The E-Z Ancor Twist-N-Lock 75 lbs. Anchors will be able to support your application with the ability to back out the screws a 1/4". will these anchors work on stocco board

In my experience, no - the anchor bolts are so horrible quality, that even if you got the anchor to work in Stucco, the bold doesn't hold up and bite into the toggle lock.

Keep screwing!
I'm using these to hang heavy drapes. Installation was quick and easy - press to wall, turn with screwdriver until the toggle slips through the wall, align bracket, insert long screw, and SCREW, SCREW, SCREW! I used an electric drill to screw the first 2/3 of the way SLOWLY, then finished off screwing by hand. It may seem as if the screw is freewheeling, but it is a LONG screw and will take some time for the anchor to catch and activate behind the wall. I am hanging four 10 foot black-out drapes (about 5 pounds each) using an 1" electrical conduit as the curtain rod. 4 stars for ease of use of the toggles - will update this review up or down in a few days if the drapes hold up without damaging the wall under the weight of the assembly.

Mixed quality
I had no problem using these toggle locks in two of the four locations I attempted. But on the third, the lock mechanism wouldn't work, so the screw kept spinning in place and I had to remove the toggle lock (which had not opened) and replace. The replacement worked. In the fourth location, however, the screw never really got a tight fit in the anchor, so the anchor is stuck in the wall and the screw slips around in it. I can't remove the anchor because the mechanism is sprung. You can see what I mean in the attached photo. Fifty-fifty is not the greatest of odds, so I'd use this product with caution.

These some what work, as other people have said they strip and can't remove them. I had maybe a 30lb object hanging from the wall and it was pulling the screw part of the anchor out. Made such a mess of the wall. Find a better anchor...

Only one of the two worked
Only one is performing as desired. On the other, the screw will not secure to the anchor and pulls away no matter what I try. 50% success rate on a 2 pack is not ok.

Wall Anchors
If you can't hit a stud, these anchors are the next best thing. They screw into the drywall and the toggle flips out and engages the back of the wall for a solid attachment. I used them to put up towel racks and they worked great.

Worked for me...
After screwing in the first screw, I went online to get a better idea of how much "effort" is too tight. After reading this small sampling of review's I was thinking, uh oh. I examed the anchors too get a feel for how the anchors work. I just installed 12 of these and not a single issue. I did pushed the screw into I felt it "engage", then screwed the screw in 3-4, times to get a good bite on anchor. Pulled the screw back out till it stopped, hit the wall. I knew then it had grabed the toggle. I did use a small underside screwdriver to help prevent overy tightening n to have a better "feel". Maybe none of this was really necessary, but what the heck, right... Over a 4 due to the apprehension from there's review's. Yet all in all, I'm a happy camper.

Supports a lot of weight and well designed
They work as they should. However, I recommend pre-drilling to avoid chipping the Sheetrock/Drywall.

Great product
Used about 10 of these to hang shelving units in my pantry room. I was hesitant to use after reading the reviews, but I didn't have an issue with a single anchor. I activated the anchor and insured that it worked properly prior to putting it into the wall. I found that the hole of the anchor wasn't tapped extremely well, but after running the screw through it a few times, it activated a lot smoother. Also, once activated behind the wall, it takes quite a bit of screwing to get that anchor all the way to the drywall (don't know if some thought the anchor was broken because of this). Would highly recommend.
