The professional-grade ECHO chainsaw CS-310 comes equipped with a 14 in. bar and chain. The rear handle chainsaw is both lightweight and delivers powerful performance. This chainsaw is also packed with features including the side a access chain tensioner for quick chain adjustments and the reduced starting effort feature.

Q:The CS 310-16 is advertised as a top handle saw, but all the pics show it as a rear handle saw. Which is it?

A:  It’s actually both.  The top portion controls the blade and has a built in cut off switch that you engaged to cut.  The one in the rear helps to support the chainsaw but also controls the blade after you release the top handle (which is a secondary safety type mechanism)!

        A:  Most of the common size files are in stock. Check the gullet size of your chain and then check stock online to save time or a wasted trip. The more homework you do to know your saw the better off you'll be in the long run, the reason for saying that is because trying to find help in the store most of the time is a challenge, most of the time I get that's not my dept. excuse. The more you know ahead of time, the less frustrating it'll be.

              A:  I guess it depends what Store is near you and if they actually Stock the stuff needed for upsales. But they didn't give that info. As for employees, Most places are now hiring bodies ( don't even have to be warm ) to take up space, so that's hit n miss.....

                A little powerhouse
                This is a great little homeowners saw after a few tanks of gas and a quarter turn on the high jet this 310 is a little beast you can’t go wrong with this little fella.

                  CAPSCREW SAFETY VIOLATION
                  THIS CHAINSAW IS DANGEROUS DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION HEAD TANK IS MADE OF PLASTIC AND THE CAPSCREW ATTACHMENT IS NOT SCREWED TO METAL INSTEAD IS GLUED TO PLASTIC; WHILE CUTTING BRANCHES THAT CAPSCREW CAME OFF AND THE SECOND ONE RIPPED BY THE CHAINSAW FORCE I WAS IN DANGER OF LOOSING MY ARMS LEGS “THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE CREATED METAL CONSTRUCTION SPECIALLY FOR THOSE CAPSCREW THAT HOLD THE CHAINSAW!!!! THIS IS A SAFETY VIOLATION!!! I USED THIS CHAINSAW ONLY 5 TIMES HOW CAN I TRUST IT NEITHER I CANNOT SELL IT USED PUTTING OTHERS AT RISK ITS A BAD INVESTMENT!!!

                    Should have bought the Ryobi battery powered
                    Title says it all. This thing is so hard to start every single time. I only used it for cutting like 3 times or something small and not even that much, just here and there. Even my neighbor said it’s junk.

                      This thing hates to start. Had several months now and used maybe 30 minutes total. It doesn’t like fresh gas or anything. It just doesn’t like to start. Hopefully echo or Home Depot will take it back. I want the Ryobi battery chainsaw.

                          Using it to limb a bunch of trees that went down in a storm. Saves wear and tear on my hands and arms compared to the big saw. It is lightweight but powerful. Made a fast job of limbing those trees after a Michigan gale at the cabin.

                          Echo 14 in Gas 2 stroke chainsaw
                          Received purchase hard to start right out of the box, follow instructions still wouldn't work as a result it got flooded out. Had to take it to a Echo Dealer to drain carburetor. works fine now

                            Engine works well, the remainder of the chainsaw is super cheap
                            I bought this chainsaw a year ago and for the most part it worked well in the beginning. Then after 8 months the bevel gear sheared a few teeth. I tried to get ECHO to replace it and they kept on telling me to go to Home depot, Home depot then tells me to go to ECHO. Also, the chain saw leaks chain lube all over the place while sitting. Once you buy this there is no product support if something happens. There 5 year warranty is bogus and they do not honer it. Because of ECHO`s customer service I will never touch there products again. Once again if you want a throw away chainsaw then its great.
