Hi Jim! Thank you for your inquiry. We do not offer a shoulder strap for our hand held blowers.

It works ok except I don't believe it has the power of my other one. The gas tank is smaller too.

250LN vs 255LN

Asked by Al March 18, 2018

Answers

The 255 is a much quieter unit than the 250 and the discharge nozzle seems a bit wider at the base of the unit than the 250. Weight and balance are about the same. Since I seldom used the vacuum attachment of the 250, I went with the higher discharge speed and lower noise of the 255.

Good price, great product!

What's the difference between this product vs. PB-250LN besides the flat nozzle?

Asked by Keen October 1, 2017

I would think the flattened nozzle creates more concentrated air flow/force to really dig out and break up clumps of wet grass.

This replaced my 20 year old Echo Blower that still runs going to give it to my daughter which is the same thing I did with my 26 year old Echo Weedeater they are tools that last pretty much forever if taken care of.

Good Gas Blower
My husband and I moved to the mountains in June of 2014. We have a really long driveway (about half the length of a football field) and several porches. There is no way we could sweep the driveway or porches .... so the blower was a must-have. My husband says the two handles - one on the bottom and one on the top - make it easy to handle and easy to move around when in use. Noise is not real loud in his opinion, but it gets a little heavy after prolong use.

I WOULD AVOID ECHO BLOWERS DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH FLYWHEEL SHEARING OFF!!!
I would avoid Echo Blowers especially the PB-XXX lines. I've always purchased Echo equipment (weed eaters, hedge trimmers, etc.) and had success with them in the past. I purchased this blower in 2010 and after about a year it became increasingly more difficult to start but eventually after 20 or 30 pulls it would sometimes crank. I discovered through research these units have a defect in the flywheel which controls the ignition and will randomly shear off. The key is molded inside the flywheel and must fit into a slot on the shaft. After using the blower, the key starts to shear thus making the unit harder to start until it eventually wears completely off. I replaced the flywheel myself ($45 part) )because I did not keep the receipt from HD and could not prove the purchase date for warranty. A few months later same problem again. When the flywheel starts shearing it will become loose and move out of position thus throwing the ignition timing off. By constantly cranking 20 or 30 times you can sometimes get it to align up again and the unit will start if you are lucky. Eventually the key will completely shear off allowing the to become completely out of whack!!! See attached picture.

My small model of stijl felt more powerful. It could just be the low noise effect, but I would probably not buy again. Love my echo weed eater though.

I like the blower, but it is not what I expected, for the price. Upon first use, I was ready to take it back, as it would not run at full speed. I went online, and found you have to remove a plastic piece, to be able to adjust the carb. After doing this, I was able to make it run at full speed.

Overall power is very good @190 MPH Rating. Quiet engine and runs really clean (you don’t smell like oil/gas after operating).
