How difficult is this mower for a woman to assemble. Will Home Depot assemble?
Asked by: Ginny
Ginny, the mower is fully assembled all you have to do is open the box pull the handles up first adjust the handles to a comfortable position for your size and tighten the two wing nuts one located on each side of the handles. Echo made it very east for the consumer and before you begin read the instruction manual

how many battery should be included. 1 or 2 ?

2 battery lots should come up with 2 batteries ?
Asked by: albert
Oh my gosh, unless you have a small lawn, you need the second battery. One battery lasts from 25 to 40 minutes - not long enough for most lawns. And you have to wait for the battery to cool down before it will take a charge. I would not buy this mower - read my full review.

Do I need to register it online to ECHO to entitle the warranty the warranty they provided.

I brought this product via Home Depot online. I received it 4 weeks and had been used for a few times. Its nice and user friendly.

I did a lot of research before on the mower and more then most of it was positive so I bought it. I was worried about it not being self propelled because I have some steep hills but it's so light that it is very maneuverable and doesn't need it at all. I cut my grass it was about 8 inches high and it went through it with no problem at all. It also didn't leave some of the grass with high spots like my gas mower did. I am very happy with the mower so I ordered the string trimmer and bought the blower.

Initial charge takes a bit but swt up was a breeze. The machine is very light and cuts nicely. The ability to cut close was a selling point for me and my bermuda lawn. Not quiet but not nearly as loud as a gas mower. Haven't spent a dime on gas and haven't had to mess with a cord!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cordless battery mowers have had so much technological advancements they have become more feasibl... Cordless battery mowers have had so much technological advancements they have become more feasible and can compete with gasoline mowers. I have a self propelled Toro gas mower i have been using since 2004. I thought it was time to update and this ECHO mower was on an online special buy for 25% off. The mower is easy to use, is fast and mulches extremely well. My Toro left grass clippings on the side as i mulched when i procrastinated. I still procrastinate but the ECHO mower doesn't leave rows of grass clippings. To use the mower you put the battery in and push the electric start button. When you pull in the two handle levers it starts and your ready to go. The mower is so light it moves easily and you don't need self propelled unless you have an extreme terrain issue. I have a sloped front yard and side yard with no problems. The deck has a lifetime warranty and the wheels are easy to raise or lower. The handle has several adjustment points and can be stored upright. I cut my yard in half the time it took me before. The 58 volt 4 amp batteries weigh 4-5 lbs and slides into the mover or charger. The battery has power guage of 4 orange lights and a carry handle. The charger is 2 1/2 sided so it encompasses the battery in place. The charger is also wall mountable. Both the mower and the changer has a push button release to remove the battery. On the mower, the battery goes into the front and has a plastic half cover that folds down. There is a two battery compartment. Both sides can be used as power or storage if you have a second battery depending on which way the key points. I wanted to get a second battery just in case so i thought the 2 amp would be good until i read the reviews. If you get an extra battery for the $30.00 difference the 4 volt is a better choice with twice the power. The 2amp and 4 amp batteries are interchangeable with all 58 volt ECHO tools. There are several 58 volt bare tools (without batteries or chargers) available. They now have this same mower kit with two batteries for $100.00 upgrade that will save you $69.00 over a separate battery. My 4 amp battery runs about an hour and charges in an hour. The charger is somewhat loud and goes quiet after charging. There is a bagger with it and a removable mulch plug already in place. The mostly obsolete side discharge is a separate purchase if you want one. I wash and dry my mower after each use. ECHO comes with a five year residential warranty with an optional extended warranty available. There is recondition tools also, but they have a one year warranty and an extended warranty plan is not offered. Make sure you go online to register for your warranty period and send a copy of your receipt which is required for warranty repairs. I researched ECHO and other brand for price, ease of use, availability of compatible tools, cost of accessories, features, percent of repairs, availability of authorized repair centers, longivity, availability of customer service and reliability of the manufacturer.

The first year was good - I had to buy a second battery for the size of my lawn. They are expensive - $185.00 (with tax) for the second battery. One battery will last 25 to 40 minutes. One battery now does not work at all - it will not take a charge. The blade seems to spin looser in its housing than it should, so it cuts too low and it is hard to know when its going to hit the ground. I replaced the blade once and that helped for about a dozen uses. Now the problem is back. The batteries do not charge when they are warm after use - you have to let them cool off before you can charge them. So now the mower is pure frustration to use. I am going to try to get my money back.

This Echo mower/battery/charger package I bought in 2016 is still going great. It's 2018 now. Summers starting and already had to mow the yard, front/back, twice. During this 3rd year I wanted to see if battery is still as strong as was at first, so far, still fine! Can do whole back yard and some of front, or whole front yard and most of back on 1 full charge. If I intend to do both back AND front yards, one after the other, I would have to recharge my one battery for the 1 hour somewhere in between as it cant do my particular front AND back yard on one full charge. I don't care though. It's freakin HOT is SC in the summer and I love the 1 hr break! Anyway, mower is easier to use than all of the self propelled mowers I've ever owned, all my life(i'm 50!). I don't even want another self prop! Not now. I love the Echo, so far. Starting 3rd year and have just been waiting for something to happen with it before I reviewed it, just anything to go wrong, even something little, but nah, there's nothing. Not yet anyway. Nothing wrong, still identical as year 1. My yard in front is smaller than the back, back is pretty good sized, front is average size. I'd say the house is on a half acre. I think this mower is more commercial than residential, it is built to last, I think these are more of a commercial type mower for a residential home owner. It's a good deal, imo of course. I tried another cordless mower, wasn't good as these are. Echo's mower/batt/charger is excellent! I gave 4 stars for 1 reason only, the cost of a 2nd battery! I'd buy a 2nd battery but I'm too cheap to pay the $169 dollars for it! Sorry Echo. I'll wait till price comes down on the batteries. They should, one day, right? And don't forget, if this mower or battery does have a problem during the 5 yr warranty, you're getting new anyway. It's cheaper than gas mowing too! You can talk or even have a whole conversation with someone without YELLING at 'em anymore! The 1 thing I would change on a gas mower(if I could change only 1)is how LOUD they are!! Hate it! And somehow mower KNOWS when I go over dirt so it dont make dirt clouds form up, pop up like you're a magician and all of the sudden you're supposed to do a disappearing magic trick or something! You know, those giant, thick, dusty, dirt clouds, the ones that stick all over you immediately, like right away, because you're sweating so much in the SC heat! Love that "smart" feature alone. Also, the motor revs up & down by itself as needed! If you're in smaller grass, it revs down more. When it detects taller, thicker grass, it revs up more! How? I dont know. But I dont care! I love it! It's light, I mean too light almost, made me think it was not even close to anything solid or going to last or any good because I had this old school thinking going on. The mind set that something like a mower needed to be heavier to be "solid", to last, I guess. Wrong! See any other 5 year warranties on those heavy, LOUD, maintenance addicted cloud makers?? Something this easy to push is dream come true for people that have been mowing their yards for decades! This mower is certainly worth the money, it's just hard for people to pay it...I guess? I'm glad I paid whatever is supposedly "extra" for this Echo over some lower cost mower that's going to HAVE to have money put into it each year for gas, oil, filter, maintenance, pull strings, etc, etc, etc, etc, every single year, sometimes through the entire mowing season! And after a while it gets sooo bad you got to replace it and pay for new one, all over again! No money's been put into this Echo mower in almost 3 years! I mean, NONE. I mean, I haven't paid a dollar yet, for anything, for the mower(yet). Maybe I'll have to? One day? I guess? Maybe? I don't know, haven't had to yet. Oh, and it's SWEET too to have been able to use that saved cash for my new air compressor! Yea, I use it to blow the mower off every now and then after using it! There's no smoke, no LOUD, not even close to heavy, simple to maneuver, not bad for the enviroment! Gas drinking(so you always got to the store with your "jug", or container, or whatever we want to nickname it!) junk mowers wont fold up and hang in a shed, either. And gas mowers will rust out, wont start with ONE push of only 1 button, they're always dirty, oily, nasty, costly, heavy, smoke, rust out, get all greasy, ugly after a year, they're soooo LOUD, oh, and did I mention LOUD??

Mower works great but can't recommend based on experience with Echo customer service. Battery that came with mower failed within 3 years. Echo customer service insisted the battery didn't come with the mower because the serial numbers didn't line up. I don't particularly like when the customer service rep insists I'm lying to them. Would not replace battery under warranty, likely will not buy ECHO again.

The single battery holds enough charge to mow the lawns (1,500 sf) 3 times before requiring a charge (one bar still showing on battery). The grass catcher holds a little less, and when it's full with wet clippings the mower becomes a bit back heavy. No more difficult cold winter starts with the gas mower, just click in the battery and go.!

Converted from a gas lawn mower - love not having to worry about gas and the difficulty in starting it. This mower has plenty of power - I able to mow my entire lawn (I live on a corner lot in a subdivision) using a freshly-charged battery. Mower is easy to maneuver.
