Questions & Answers

Does this saw come with it's own case?

Does this saw come with it's own case?
Asked by: Justice1
No it doesn't. I bought a soft side case made by Echo.

Why is this saw worth soo much more than the 590 model that has the same 59cc size engine and 20" bar?

Asked by: Kutz
In addition to the other answers already given, the CS-620 has a metal sprocket cover, where the CS-590's is plastic. The upgrades on the CS-620 are nice, but I'm not sure they add up to the price difference. It depends on your usage. The 590 is a bargain for what you get, the 620 may not be as much of a bargain compared to the competition.

Can anyone please tell me what's the difference between this model and the $399 Model # CS-590-20AA? Both are 59cc, 20in. So there has to be some other differences to justify the $250 price difference.
Asked by: Daniel
This model has a professional motor.

Is there a horsepower rating for the 620p and 680 saw? I am trying to decide between the two because i would like to use the 27" bar.

Asked by: Sawman
The 620p has 4.5 hp. The 680 has 4.7 hp. Both should run the 27" bar without any trouble as long as you keep the chain sharp.

27 in. 59.8 cc Gas 2-Stroke Cycle Chainsaw is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Echo CS-620 is outstanding I've owned Stihl, Husqvarna, Makita/Dolmar all good saws! I was looking for a medium size saw in the 60cc range, the Echo CS-600P seem to fit the bill with the best value and performance. I then came across the Echo CS-620P, which is an improve version of 60cc/ CS-600 that Echo's claim puts out an extra 13% more power (I believe they're conservative). This saw is incredible! The performance of a 70cc professional saw in a nice smaller package! This is a nice sounding saw and very comfortable to operate. The CS-600P is great saw but the extra money for the CS-620 gives you get even more! durability and features like magnesium housing, full chisel chain, plus additional power etc. are worth the extra $ As for cutting its a real killer, an angry saw with attitude! plenty of power, nice high rpms, it cuts through a 70 ft oak like a hot knife through a soft butter stick! One of the best saws I've ever handle!

This saw cut down 5 red oak 25” diameter with no problem. I also cut down 2 26 diameter yellow poplar 2 cherry trees. very good saw . Echo CS620p is a work horse. It is not to heavy. I really like this saw. So far good.

I bought the expensive pre-mixed fuel for this saw when I bought it, so shouldn't be a fuel issue. It takes about 10 pulls to get this thing started, and it doesn't idle all that good, have to keep pulling the trigger.

Bought this for my brother, he is very happy with it, this is the "pro" version of this chain saw and he says it's worth the extra money paid. Doesn't heat up too much, smooth operation and he's used it on quite a few trees so far...

Saw arrived with the box damaged and missing both the bar and scabbard. Not the end of the world, I called HD customer service and asked about just getting the missing pieces. They said no problem just email some photos and the saw serial number to Echo. Then I never got a response from Echo. I finally tried calling Echo and was told it wasn't their problem. I then called HD back and was now told I couldn't get the missing bar, but I could purchase a second saw and return the first. I was told this was the quickest way to get a complete saw in my hands so I agreed to go ahead and pay for another saw. At this point I have over $1300 tied up in this mess. Guess what....second saw arrives with a hole in the box and also missing the bar. Pretty obvious there is a problem at Echo with the way the bar is being packaged in the box if two have managed to chew their way out of the box. And there is sure a problem with their customer service to tell me it's not their problem. I've never before in my life purchased not one but two new and expensive products and have them both arrive missing components and the manufacturer completely blow me off. The first could have been blamed on rough shipping but the second makes it clear the bar chewed it's way out. I have a smaller Echo saw, string trimmer and blower but I'll think twice before purchasing Echo ever again after the complete lack of customer service.

I have never felt a saw that pulls so smoothly and handles so easily. I have a huge hickory that has been down a year that I just started on because my other saws would have been bogged down. This breezes through it. I am ecstatic. Sawing is fun again.
