yes, that is what I have it attached to.

Just over 5 lbs. They work great. The bigger motor is a plus, but will still work with the 225 model.

I have the PAS 225.

When do you anticipate this going on sale?

No time soon. I think they would sooner make the 12 inch bar standard.

Does the pas power pole saw attachment come with a 10" or 12" bar and chain?

I bought the item as an attachment for my Echo PAS-225. The model number is 99944200532. The bar is 12", with approximately 9.5" extending beyond the case to the tip of the chain at the furthest point. I actually ordered and returned similar items from another manufacturer since the construction of those units was questionable. When I saw the ECHO version I ordered and have used it quite a bit since I have 50 plus trees requiring periodic pruning. I am very pleased with the unit and would say it is rugged enough to be considered appropriate for commercial use.

SRM and PAS are different connection systems. This PAS attachment does not connect to SRM power heads.

This attachment will only fit PAS type power heads. Electric trimmers typically have the motor on the trimmer end and the battery at your hands. Attachments don't work that way. You just get another 'tool-only' and switch batteries. Check out Echocordless.com for your options.

I did not expect a lot more than small branch trimming from a 10 inch chain saw. But I found it whacks 5 inchers no problem. Power is sufficient for light pruning and the occasional bigger branch encountered by homeowners. It could probably take down larger tree stumps by working from all sides but that risks sticking the tip in which can end badly for the operator. Best to do that kind of thing with a dedicated saw. Not the tool for playing at forester or logger, big jobs need big tools. The chain lube fill lines up with the fuel tank fill to reduce leakage in normal upright use but it cuts fine in any position. A safety harness is included that would also work well with the trimmer. Gets a bit heavy and awkward after a while but again, it is designed for occasional light work. I'm hacking through 200 feet of abandoned fence row and this has just flown through stuff I was spending days to get through with a manual pole saw, plus it takes down branches I could not do manually. Sure wish I had it when I started!! It also lets me use one motor more months of the year to keep it is good working order.

One this I will agree with on the other reviews is that is has some weight to it. I recently used it to to 63, yes that's 63, Bradford pear trees over a 2 day span. Granted one other guy was in a boom doing the very top portions, but I cleared a good 75% of it just from the ground. It never came off the bar or slowed down one time from start to finish. So happy I decided to go with this instead of a competitor's brand one.

I purchased the Echo pruner attachment to use with my Echo PAS -225 and I am very impressed with it's performance. I've used it three times and it has worked very well each time. I've used it with and without the three foot extension I also purchased and it has worked great both with and without the extension. I would highly recommend the Echo pruner to anyone!

My first ever pole pruner. Used the pole pruner for the first time yesterday; used it to cut back huge sega palms. This tool was perfect and allowed me distance to avoid overgrowth where snakes could hide. Really like Echo brand as I have used my power source and other attachments for about 18 years. I am a 63 old female so anything gets heavy after a while but I cannot complain because I feel confident any other brand would have been the same. Just work in shorter periods which keeps cleanup shorter too!

I have not had the chance to use it yet but it is Echo and their products have never let me down. I'm sure it will meet my expectations. One star deduction for Home Depot sending me a previously opened box. Can I have the open box discount? I personally expect my "new" purchases to be in factory sealed boxes.

I have a section of yard approximately 125x25 that has been overgrown with ligustrum that is over 15 feet tall along with briers and skinny trees stretching 30' to reach the sun. It's been that way since we bought the place nearly 7 years ago. Every summer we have debated hiring someone to clear it out for us but were hesitant to find out what the cost would be. Recently, we saw an assisted living facility with their tall ligustrum neatly trimmed. We decided to try that ourselves. That's why I bought the Echo pruner attachment. (I already have the trimmer and edger attachments and love them.) It made short work of the low hanging ligustrum limbs, as well as the skinny trees. The city estimated our debris at the street to be about 30 cubic yards. We have about 25x25 left to do. The pruner has operated perfectly, has made easy work of our job and as I told my wife, is the best $200 I've spent in a long time.

This pole saw excels on smaller branches and trees. It will cut the larger ones too. Specs say up to 8" and I believe it although, I've been cutting in the 1-4" range. It it well built, well balanced with a good amount of reach. The only reason I didn't give it a 5th start is at times it can bind up and you have to disengage and start the cut again. This my be a result of the Echo weed eater body I have it pared with, a PAS - 225SB which has good power but not Great power. In comparison, I have used a 10' Sun Joe electric corded pole saw that did not bind on branches. All in all, the Echo works very good and if I could, I would have given it 4.5 stars.
