Q:I have dirty, peeling and cracking lead paint on my detached garage ceiling. I won't be able to prep properly and wonder if a base coat or two of this will neutralize the lead enough for me to then scrape the peeling/cracking areas for repaint?

We were also pleased with the delivery in store who mixed it with shaking and the way the application of this paint went. This is a good product to cover lead paint. Although it covers well cracked paint, it doesn’t hurt to wet sand those spots before painting (of course with protective equipment on and a hepa vacuum). You may need to apply more than one coat and also, paint over it with regular paint because it looks more like a primer. Just make sure you mix this paint well with a drill. I would, if needed to, buy this again. Thank you.

THIS PRODUCT IS FOR INTERIOR!!!!!
I looked and looked for a paint to seal LEAD paint (OLD HOUSE), and this is the ONLY product I could find.
I may have found one other, can't even remember now.
Today, painters came to do a small finish repair and they had READ THE LABEL!!! and told me AFTER the house
has been painted that this is interior paint!!!!
WHY is this NOT in the INFORMATION ONLINE!!!
NOWHERE is it disclosed that this is for INTERIOR! in very tiny print on the 5 gallon container! Really dishonest

I have used only one other encapulation paint.. the lead...
I have used only one other encapulation paint.. the lead defender I will be using from now on. Great coverage, easy to work with and it mask perfectly!!. I will be referring it to all homeowners when painting exterior, thank you.
