How long is Run Time at 2000 watt continuous?

How long is Run Time at 2000 watt continuous?
Asked by: Arkie
On this web site https://egopowerplus.com/nexus-power-station there are some examples of how long 2 fully charged 7.5 amp hour batteries will last with different loads. So here's the math that I came up with for 4 batteries based on the examples on the webpage. One says it will power an 80 watt tv for 8 hours. 80 times 8 = 640 watt hours. Another says it will power a slow cooker that uses 70 watts for 9 hors. 70 times 9 = 630 watt hours. Another says 3 devices totaling 146 watts for 4.4 hours. 146 times 4.4 = 642.4 watt hours. The batteries are 7.5 amp hours times 56 volts times 2 (for 2 batteries) = 840 watt hours. Inverters are never 100% efficient in converting DC to AC. This inverter is about 642.4/840 = .76 = 76% efficient. The 4 batteries would produce about 2 times the 2 batteries = 1285 watt hours. Therefore with a 2000 watt load it would last about 1285/2000 = .64 time 60 minutes or about 39 minutes.

I have a gas generator, that is loud and would like to put it farther from the house, could you plug the Ego into it to charge and have it inside?
Asked by: Al
I do not see why you could not charge the second battery with the Generator outside while running on one of the two battery's inside it may take 3 or 4 to have the battery charged fast enough to do it for say half power probably 4 but someone would have to do the math.

Why are you,EGO, being so evasive? How long will it run when common appliances are connected i.e. sump pump, refrigerator, tv, computer. The consumer needs to know what this thing is capable of before we buy it. I have never been so confounded by an EGO product information before. Your video shows it can be used in a power outage - 10 minutes, 1 hour, 5 hours - give us some real examples.

Does this require both batteries to work?

Asked by: Jpro
It will work with 1-4 batteries. The total watts produced may be affected based on the battery size. You need at least one 7.5 Ah battery to produce 200W.
