Q:I just purchased the EMAX 80 Gal. 7.5 HP 3-Cylinder 1-Phase 175 PSI Electric Air Compressor with Isolator Pads and Auto Drain. Is this ready to use out of the box, after hooking everything up? Or, do I also need to purchase the oil and filters for it?

Q:The cfm @90 or 100psi rating is a bit confusing. The pic says 31 cfm, the 'description' says 26, and 'details' says 36. So can anyone tell me the actual cfm and at what psi? Thank you for any correct info.

emax e350 compressor
This thing is massive. I will never have to worry about this thing keeping up with my air supply demands for my powder coating/sandblasting needs. This thing is awesome Very solid build, shipping crate and packaging were solid and arrived undamaged. You definitely need help getting it moved off pallet and into its place. Price and free shipping was way better than any other source by over $800.

Quiet!
This air compressor is even more quiet than expected. I don't have a lot of space in my garage, so I have to be near the compressor while working. When I first turned it on, I thought I wired it incorrectly. The motor just lopes along with no strain. It filled the 80- gallon tank in less than 5 minutes! No leaks. You can definitely have a conversation right next to the unit while it's on and hear yourself think. Powerful and quiet, worth every penny!

Beastly
This thing is a beast. I can run my big sandblaster and paint booth just fine and it doesn’t run non stop at all. Kicks in at 100 psi and shuts off at 150. I have a work bench right next to it and it doesn’t bother me. It’s not any louder than my shop fan.

Awesome compressor - well worth the investment!
I ordered my 10HP 80Gallon Single Phase EMAX compressor (Model #HS10V080V1) earlier this year and finally completed the install/electrical and commissioned it for use this month. Initial order date was 4/12/2021 and I accepted delivery via freight with liftgate service on 5/25/2021. For those wondering, the driver of the delivery truck used a pallet jack to remove the unit from the truck and was nice enough to bring it up my driveway and into my garage for me (I live in suburbia). The compressor was bolted to a standard size pallet and surrounded by cardboard on all 4 sides and the top, which was also stapled to the pallet (needless to say, it was very well protected). I was not interested in keeping the unit on the pallet nor did I want to bolt it to my floor, so I built a base out of 4” mild carbon channel that would accept a common width pallet jack also incorporating vibration dampening leveling feet. The most challenging task was lifting the compressor off the pallet and onto the base as I do not have a forklift or crane. Ultimately, I was able to find success using my engine hoist, a variety of straps/rigging equipment, and a lot of patience. Electrical was relatively easy with advice from an electrician coworker of mine. I added a 60A double pole breaker to my 200A main panel, ran about 15ft of 4AWG THHN wire to a 100A safety disconnect switch rated for a 10HP motor, and then used about 6ft of 4/3 SOOW cord from the switch to the compressor. As for the compressor itself, it is absolutely amazing and completely fills up to 175psi in about 4.5 minutes. While the motor is loud it is still much quieter than your conventional air compressor without the Silent Air intake. I personally think it sounds awesome during operation as I feel like I have a true workhorse. My hope is that this will last me a lifetime and so far I am thoroughly impressed with the build quality and customer experience. I would recommend this brand and this model without hesitation.

A thing of beauty!
My EMAX compressor came bolted to a stout pallet and was really well packaged. It is a gorgeous compressor and will be a showpiece in my shop. I'm thrilled with it and know it will provide many years of service. I do wish it came with a printed manual.

Makes work easy!!
Picked up the compressor from Homedepot. Only issue I had was that Home Depot was really slow and even though I called ahead and made an appt, they had me waiting another half hour to pick it up.
Got the compressor home and hooked up, but had a leak in the welds at the top of the compressor. Emax customer service was excellent. Sent a technician to see if the problem could be fixed and because it couldn’t, sent me another brand new compressor. Got that one set up and it works wonders in my shop. I have used it on sanders, grinders, impacts, paint guns, the works. Takes 5 min to fill up and it’s not very loud at all. We can have a discussion right next to it while it’s running. Sometimes I don’t realize the motor has started while I’m working. It has definitely been an asset in my shop.

Quiet and Great Air Recovery
I purchased this air compressor for my new garage where the unit was going to be located next to my work bench. I needed a compressor to keep up with air sanders and grinders.
My last compressor was also a 5hp with 80 gallon was very noisy and had a hard time keeping up with the air sander. This unit is GREAT!!! It is quiet, I can work at the bench without earplugs. I can actually hold a normal conversation with it running. Plus is has no issue keeping up with the high demands of the air sander. I can be sanding for hours and it will just cycle on & off as needed. My last compressor I would have to stop sanding for it to "catch up". The EMAX is a GREAT UNIT.

I really wasn't expecting it to be this quiet. Quality and finish is excellent. Came on a pallet so was easy to put in place with my tractor. Now I can use my sand blaster and plasma cutter like a pro.
