Expected better quality for this price point. The 1” white screws to attach the hinge plate were actually 1 ¼”, so they pop thru and dimple the inside edge.. also not enough provided in the packet. Disappointed that the screen is on the bottom ½ of the window… not a good design when you have dogs that like to look out the window. Nice heavy door though but definitely need 2 people to install. Overall just average.

Haven’t had the door two years and already rusting on the side near door hinge and the bottom of the door too. It sits a full step off the ground with brick all around including a brick step. Not built to last.

Just bought and installed this door today. Took me about 3 hours to install by myself, but mainly because I had to cut wood to add to the door frame to make it fit just right. I took a star away because the instructions to install the door were missing and I had to use the online resource. Also missing an unpainted screw for the mounting of the door but I was able to replace it with spare screws I had. Door works well and much improved from my old one. Dog loves being able to go in and out freely too. No problems whatsoever with the dog door functionality.

Great storm door with pet entry. It wasn't difficult to install at all. Just take your time, measure twice and drill once as cutting isn't required. Great workmanship and durability. Looks like it was done professionally. Definitely recommend this storm door and pet entry.

I was happy until winter came and the dog door part started to build up condensation in the panels.

Okay, So this is all you have to go on before you purchase this door: "Features an opening (10.5 in. x 15 in.) for pets up to 90 lbs." The HD showroom has no model of either the door or the pet door. So you trust that it'll be a good door to work for your 18lb cat since the door flap is good for up to 90lbs, right? WRONG!! It's probably only good for DOGS weighing between 35 and 90lbs because the average small dog or very large cat in no way could possibly push through this door without causing severe neck injury or concussion (kidding of course). I drag this 75lb behemoth of a storm door home, just to open it and become immediately discouraged First, the way this door was assembled was doomed to fail way too quickly. More than likely a couple of years rather than what I would consider "longevity, say 10 years or more. They pieced together the inside facing of the CLAD around the window. This is not to say the weather will get at it. What concerns me is how they assembled it on the inside. Did they do the same thing? Also, by doing this, I just felt it weakens the structure in its entirety. If they only made the clad one piece, this wouldn't have been an issue for me. Second, for me, another game changer was the fact that they had the Solid pet security plate/cover panel, simply flopping around in the box which undoubtedly, caused a scuff on the door. I'm simply done fixing minor repairs and at 2X or 3X of the prices they used to be at, these manufacturers and distributors need to step up their game. Thirdly and most importantly, the deal breaker, is this "Pet Door". Again, not only can this only work (IMO), for large dogs (35-90lb and honestly, I'd like to see a 90lb anything squeeze through this thing), but there's too much resistance that it doesn't swing to a good stop. To clarify, (see pic below), if the door does not get enough swing, it will not stop fully straight to sit against the seal leaving a gap large enough for pests to come flying on through. Again, DEAL BREAKER! I wish I could upload the videos I took, but my description and pics will have to do and hopefully, someone will save themselves some heartache over this. Do yourselves a favor, as questions on these few issues, perhaps pay a bit more for product, but if you are paying for installation, at least you won't be throwing your money away :).

Great Buy, door works great with our dog. Wished we would have bought it years ago.

The door had slight damage to a corner but it was fixed and installed. I love the door. And so do my dogs. Win/win!
