If I could give Zero Stars I would
This door was purchased and installed less than a year ago. It is the WORSE door ever. It broke off at the hinges very quickly. Apparently I am not the only one with these issues. I read through the other reviews and Andersen stated to call them with the serial number. I did that and and they face timed the door and sent pictures to the warranty department. Apparently as they said "outside forces" caused this incident and it is not covered. It is a STORM door and should be able to take the brunt of a storm. Living in the Boston area, it gets stormy and windy. If they didn't want to back a storm door, they should just call it a tiny breeze door. STAY AWAY. Totally useless.

Thank you for posting your feedback. The intended purpose or function of a storm door is to reduce the exposure of an entry door to the elements. A storm door aids in reducing the amount of air or moisture coming through in order to enhance the function of your entry door system. Currently Andersen does not offer a storm door product that meets or exceeds storm or hurricane code, or state code requirements. Since a storm door is installed to the exterior surface of the home for various functional reasons, it is not considered an integral part of the home's structure even though building codes in your area may require this. We do stand behind our products as long as the issue is within the bound of the door's warranty. The warranty information can be found on the door's installation manual, for review. - Noel

door is 3/4 shorter and narrower rails than previous 100 series storm door
now it won't cover footprint of previous storm door. They shortened the door by 3/4 and made the side rails slightly narrower. They also give you another piece to cover the 3/4 gap above the top if it does not cover your height of 80" The side rail is 79 3/4" instead of 80 1/2" as the old one. I would not recommend getting this door. With the narrower side rails you don't have as much rail attached to the doors brick mold.

I purchased this door in October 2021. I contacted Home Depot in September of 2022, who referred me to Customer Service.
The top window does NOT stay up! No matter how gently you close the door it slides down. It also leaks (obviously from the window falling down), but also in the seams around the window. During one storm, the rain coming in between the 2 doors was ridiculous! I was glad I was home to constantly stay on top of the water.

Price switch at time of purchase

Looked up online and went to make this purchase in Mt. Pleasant, TX. price listed as $144.00(handle included) at counter price charged was $179.00 before taxes. We purchased 2. If you pull this item up it list price, isle and number in stock at this location. Another similar quality door for $138(not including handle) was our 1st choice. Had I known the price would be different at the counter I would have purchased that one.
HD get your pricing consistent. Not cool.

Developed corrosion
I bought this 2 years ago, and six months ago, it started corroding in a small place on the outside frame, which would periodically prevent the door from closing. I would scrape off some of the material so it would close, but it's progressed to the point where it's nearly eaten away the frame from that spot. I would NOT recommend this door!!!

Easy to install by myself
What a difference a new, clean door looks compared to the old dirty one. I am a 54 yr old female and installed this myself, along with watching many YouTube videos! It is very sturdy and clean looking.
