I havne't been this excited about a light in a long time. I even installed it before the drywall mud is done. What I like (actually love). It is installed by a simple twist fit mount - secure the bracket to the ceiling and twist the light into place. The light offers 3000k color which is matches the other lighting in our house (4000k and 5000k are too blue for us). The night light (turn light on, off and then back on to get night light) is super cool and great when watching a movie. The light is low profile (lower profile vs my other led ceiling light which I'll be replacing)

This is a very bright, slim profile ceiling fixture. It was super easy to install. It probably took me only 5 minutes. You only have to screw in the ceiling bracket, connect the wires. then push the fixture onto the bracket and twist to lock it in place. The choice of different color temps is great. It also has a built in nightlight that can be activated by flipping the switch off and back on quickly. A nice feature. It puts out a lot of light but I don't feel that the light fills the room as well as a traditional fixture of this type. It seems more focused on a smaller area. However, if your room isn't that big it will probably be just fine.

This is a stylish light that gives you an option for how many lumens you want the fixture to put out (3000,4000 or 5000). Along with that, each selection has a slightly different color (bright white, daylight, and soft white. It also has the feature of being a night light which is amber and less lumens (1350). The installation is simple with the screws, wire nuts and mounting plate included. The back of the fixture has tabs that go into the plate and you rotate it to lock it in. I had a bit of a struggle with this as it did not want to clip. I did not want to replace the box and there just was not a lot of room to get the center part of the fixture into the box with all the wiring. I did manage to get it to clip in, but it is not sitting flush to the ceiling (although you cannot really notice unless you are looking at it from ceiling level. Overall, it is stylish, it has options for the light, and it works. I am happy with the fixture, but I am not a fan of the mounting system.

This is a real clean looking LED fixture that has a unique nightlight feature. It installs quickly and easily in a standard J-box for ceiling fixtures—either existing or new construction. (Also, it can also be retrofit under an existing 5” or 6” recessed can light, but additional parts are required. Spring clips and a screw-in socket adapter with pigtails must be obtained separately. There is also a can-less/remodel J-box available. However, I could not find any of these items on the company’s web site.) The mounting plate attaches to the J-box with two screws and the fixture is attached to the mounting plate using a twisting motion to engage two tabs—bayonet -style--on the back of the fixture. This is called the “Twistfit Mounting System” by the manufacturer. It a simple system and two raised areas on the mounting plate assure a tight fit to the ceiling as the fixture is twisted into place. However, it is a little awkward to hold the fixture and make the wirenuts connections at the same time. I have installed some fixtures that have a small cable attached to support the weight of the fixture while the connections are made. Fortunately, fixture installation is simple as the font size used for the instructions is very small requiring a magnifying glass to read. The fixture only projects 1-3/16-inches from the ceiling. The specs say that it is 1-1/2-inch high, but 5/16 of that will go into the J-box. It is exactly 13-inches in diameter. Before attaching the fixture, you will need to select the desired color temperature—3000K, 4000K or 5000K—using a slider on the back of the fixture. The fixture comes preset for 3000K which is the warmest color. The light diffuser is a lightly textured white plastic which diffuses the light uniformly. The fixture provides 1350 lumens using 17 watts---the luminous equivalent of an incandescent light between 75 and 100 watts. The packaging says that it is “Samsung LED Illuminated.” The unique nightlight feature consists of a 1/8-inch wide band of light around the edge of the fixture near the ceiling. The band is better defined than the photo shows. The resulting color is listed to be 200K—very warm. See photo. Switching the nightlight on requires quick ON-OFF-ON switching to change “modes”. Once the nightlight is turned off, the mode reverts to the main light the next time the switch in placed in the on position and stays in that mode until the next ON-OFF-ON cycle. Only one of the modes is available at a time. The specs do not list the nightlight lumens or wattage. I could not measure the lumens, but the nightlight did provide adequate illumination for a small, 3’ X 3’ stair landing and the adjacent steps—which is what I needed. In fact, the main light is so bright, I installed a dimmer. The dimmer does affect both light modes. (Note: I installed a unique dimmer that allowed me to set the minimum dimming level for the light. I set the minimum while in the nightlight mode which works well for both modes.) The fixture is damp rated so use in outdoor covered and unheated spaces and bathrooms appears to be an option. The specs say that it can be used with Triac dimmers which is the old style used with incandescent lamps—so an LED specialty dimmer is not necessary. The fixture is available in several other finishes, has a 5-year warranty, and is made in China.

I picked up ETI's 13" low-profile flush-mount light to replace a 2' x 2' fluorescent fixture in my kitchen. While I'm lazy and would really prefer to have found a 2 x 2 square light to directly replace the old fixture (so I don't have to paint!), I haven't really found anything in that size other than odd-looking flat panel lights. Hence, this replacement order. This isn't a highly-decorative piece, it's simple and tasteful - and puts out as much light as the 2 u-shaped fluorescent bulbs it is replacing. Installation is trivial if you have a standard-size junction box; just screw in the adapter plate, push the fixture in place and twist. The nightlight feature is kind of cool, we've been in the habit of leaving the kitchen light on 24/7 (it's a long story involving an older small dog that had poor vision and a bigger dog that did not appreciate being stepped on while asleep).

I needed a bright LED in the garage and the idea of a twist fit installation was appealing. All you do is remove the old fixture and install the Twistfit mounting plate, connect the wires, then insert the fixture into the keyhole of the mounting plate and turn clock wise to secure it. Okay that's how it works on paper, the reality is a bit different and for me disappointing. The TwistFit mounting plate was the easiest thing to install to the junction box. Wiring the connections was easy, with no ground to make. Then came inserting the back of the fixture into the keyhole. The problem is the fixture key needs about an inch of space into the keyhole, and the junction box is full of wires. Despite moving the wires to the back of the box it was still difficult to get it to catch. There are no alignment marks to help you visually. When turning the fixture the wires inside would push against the color temperature switch, changing the setting. While I spent 15 minutes removing the old fixture and getting everything connected, I spent over an hour just trying to twist and fit. Each failed attempt resulted in some damage to the plastic wings on the key. When I finally got it to catch I was not able to turn it the full 90 degrees to lock in place. Also sharp edges on the keyhole bracket were cutting into the wire insulation. So while I like the concept of the twist fix, installing with a junction box full of wires is a non starter. I would imagine the installation into a junction box with just two leads would be more successful, but not a common scenario in my house. The light measure 13 inches across and is about an inch and half thick. You pick one of three color temps, but you have to unmount the unit if you want to change it. The night light is activate by quickly turning the light off and on. It is a binary selection, so you have to repeat the cycle to get the light back on. The fixture is rated for 1350 Lumans at 17 watts and uses Samsung LED. The avail color temps are 3K, 4K and 5K. The sealed fixture can be installed in damp locations. The kit includes instruction, twist fit bracket, mounting screws and wire nuts. No cable or chain is provided to hold fixture while you make connections. In the end the fixture gives off a bright non-glare even light, which I am happy with, as long as it doesn't fallout. The TwistFit system was a fail in my crowded junction box.

I have a 1977 home. I thought I was getting something “clever” to cover my square 7” ceiling lights. It showed springs and a 2-wire socket adapter in the product pictures. When you get the kit, there is a content page with asterisks next to the items that had NO asterisks on the product page. Not included. When I called Home Depot they said they would call the manufacturer. Home Depot told me to return the kit and they would replace with a new kit containing everything I needed. I ordered x5 more. All 6 arrived, no adapter, no springs. I contacted the company and if I gave them my credit card they would order the missing pieces. I found what I needed on my own, elsewhere. This is not “Customer Service”. This is not truth-in-advertising. I love the lights, but does anybody really care what it “cost me” in time and trouble?

Easy to Install and look great
I bought the four pack to replace the lights in my basement. It took about 45 minutes to an hour to replace all four. I have the daylight in my office and warm light in my wife’s area.

The 5K Lums was too bright and was given me a headache, so i switched to 4K much better, I also bought a dimmer switch if needed. The night light feature is what I really needed for my dog that stays in the room. Overall a good light.
