18 in. Linkable LED Beam Adjustable Under Cabinet Strip Light Plug In or Direct Wire 500 Lumens 3000K Dimmable

This is the second ETI LED Beam Adjustable Under Cabinet Strip Light that I've purchased. It, too, is being installed unconventionally—mounted atop and behind a 48" wide by 82" high curio cabinet and used as up-lighting. The ceiling height in the room is 18' and the 32" LED fixture successfully provides uniform indirect lighting with a pleasing ambiance to an entire corner of the living/dining room. Note that the power cord only fits the "power in" end of the light fixture (nearest the toggle switch). The light is controlled by a Wi-Fi smart plug.

I replaced a fluorescent fixture with this LED light. Very easy to hardwire in. 1500 lumens provide plenty of light. 3200k is a nice warm light. I look forward to replacing all the rest of the fixtures.

24 in. LED Plug In and Direct Wire Beam Adjustable Under Cabinet Strip Light This is a convenient product. So, it is a desk lamp that has the shape of the old style fluorescent desk lamps but is an LED light, so it is very efficient and has a good color spectrum. It comes with a mount plate which is a sheet of metal. The back of the light is a magnet. So, a person can mount the plate where they want the light and then just stick the light to the plate via the magnets. A person can also move the light around to other steel objects such as refrigerators, freezers, or steel cabinets. This a nice convenience. As you can see from the pictures, it is bright. I really like this product

I only use LED lighting now and the ETI 24 inch adjustable under cabinet light is very bright and easy to install. I'm installing mine under a cabinet above my sink where I need more light. I have wiring there for direct lighting, but I love that it comes with the cord and easy plug in that makes using a receptacle easy. it has an on/off switch and the mounting plate is easy to install and the fixture magnetically attached to the plate for easy removal..the magnets are strong, so don't worry about it detaching. It's only 12.5 watts, so the energy consumption is low, but it delivers a bright 700 lumens. The light tube rotates to adjust for adjustable angles of light and multiple lights can be linked.

This is a bright little light! We got it to put in our range hood to supplement the weak light that came factory installed, and it does an excellent job. It has some very strong magnets for attaching it to a steel surface, and on our range hood it mounted perfectly. It also comes with a steel mounting plate for use on non magnetic surfaces. It can be plugged into a receptacle or hard wired in. As you can see in the pictures it lite our range top up great!

12 in. LED Beam Adjustable Under Cabinet Light - a Home Depot Seeds Program Review This ETI Under Cabinet LED Light is twelve inches long, has an adjustable beam and is dimmable. The documentation says it uses 5.5 watts, that it’s 300 lumens brightness and the temperature (color), if on a dimmer switch, can be from 3000K to 2200K – from warm white to warm. The documentation also says its rated life is 50,000 hours. Multiple lights can be linked together with only one of them needing to be connected to power. I needed additional light under some of my kitchen counters. I have some compact florescent (CFL) under counter lights beneath the right side of my cabinets but needed some on the other side. Once I installed this LED light, the difference between it and the CFL lights is immediately apparent. The “instant on” of the LED lights is far better (in most cases) than the warm up time needed for the CFL lights to get to full brightness. The color of the LEDs was more to my liking as well, though it would be possible to get CFL tubes that would come close to the same color. There are several installation options available. The package includes the hardware needed to direct wire the fixture. There’s also a cord that allows the light to be plugged in and there’s a short linking cable to allow connecting another light in “daisy chain” fashion. The documentation says I could connect 40 of these 12 inch fixtures together using the linking cables. I linked a second, 18 inch, fixture to this 12 inch one. There are also options for attaching the fixture under the cabinets. There are mounting holes in the fixture that allow you to attach the fixture directly or, the option I chose, a metal mounting plate that attaches under the cabinet which allow fixture to attach to it magnetically (magnets are already on the fixture). This is convenient since the entire fixture can be quickly dismounted for cleaning if needed. I find the magnets hold the fixture pretty well but, if the fixtures are subject to being hit, they could get knocked off of the plate. The entire installation could not have been easier and it took about ten minutes. I don’t have the light on a dimmer switch so I wasn’t able to test that functionality. The adjustable beam is accomplished with a thumb dial that directs the direction of the beam. I saw very little difference when I used it since the light covers a pretty broad area. I suppose some could find this feature useful. I really like the light for its brightness and energy efficiency. The mounting and powering options are great. I’m not so sure about the adjustable beam for my use and, since I don’t have the light on a dimmer switch, the dimmable feature is overkill for me. I really would like to have seen the ability to replace the LED light in the event the light is broken or you outlive the 50,000 rated lifetime hours. Replacing the entire fixture seems the only option and that really seems like a waste. All in all this is a great light but it has more features than I need or would use.

It can be mounted in a traditional way, screwed directly to the underside of a cabinet, or it can be mounted using a steel mounting plate which the fixture sticks to via magnets. This latter method allows you to remove the fixture to localize the light, if desired (it can easily be moved along the mounting plate and stuck in various locations). The fixture can be either hardwired or it can be plugged in to a receptacle. Either way, everything you need for the installation is included, even a cable and connector so you can link several fixtures together. I also have the 24” version of this fixture and was able to test the linking feature. It worked as expected—when you turn on the power, both lights go on. Photo 1 shows what you get in the box. Photo 2 is a close-up of the cables and bag of parts. The fixture is easy to install, especially if you’re just plugging it in. The supplied instructions are pretty good, except for a couple of small problems. The section entitled Tools Required specifies a power drill with a 1/8” bit, but the manual never explicitly tells you to drill a pilot hole using this bit (it only specifies to use a power tool to drive the screws). And on page 5 there is a typo—the illustration refers to the power cord as part HH, when it should be GG. The actual text is correct. These are very minor issues and I didn’t take any stars off for this. I installed the fixture under one of my shop cabinets by screwing it directly to the cabinet. Next I plugged it into a nearby receptacle. You can also use this light on a dimmer, but for my application, I’m only going to need it to be on full or off. Photos 3 and 4 show the fixture installed and on to give you an idea of the light output. The fixture also features an adjustable beam—there are tabs at each end that you can turn that rotate the bulb to adjust where the beam points. I my installation, there wasn’t a big difference in the spread of the light as I rotated the bulb, mainly because the fixture is very bright and lights up a nice area below it. Overall, I found the fixture was very bright and it lit up my counter nicely. It comes with a 5 year warranty.

I had to find shorter screws to use (I couldn’t use washers under the supplied screws because then the heads of the screws would have protruded out from the mounting plate and the fixture wouldn’t lay flat. Next I plugged the power cord into a touch switch/dimmer that was already there. As you touch the switch plate, the light goes from low, to medium, to full on. This worked well with the fixture. But note, the color temperature changes as you dim the light, from 3000K to 2200K. On the dimmest setting of my touch switch, the fixture gave a nice warm glow, which I thought was good for use as a night light. Photos 3, 4, and 5 show the installed fixture on low, medium, and high, respectively. The fixture also features an adjustable beam—there are tabs at each end that you can turn that rotate the bulb to adjust where the beam points. I'm really impressed with how bright this light is. I'm actually using it in my shop for supplemental lighting that I can easily move around. The adjustable beam is a neat feature which was helpful when I had this under a kitchen cabinet. Mounting is very easy, two screws for the plate and then the light attaches with via magnets, so its pretty much a plug and play right out of the box. Another thing I like about this light is the fact that it comes with an electrical cord (not all under cabinet lights do) and it comes with a cord to connect it to additional lights. I like this better than my other under-cabinet light because it is cheaper, brighter, and it comes with power supply cords.
