Be careful purchasing this product. I had to return it. The quality of the oak looked fine enough but it was nearly a 1/16" narrower than the 3/4" oak flooring I was matching it to. Thicker and I could have sanded it down but thinner - well - nothing to do but return it. I then bought the piece direct from the flooring manufacturer (probably should have done that in the first place).

Hi Ken, thanks for letting us know about the mis-match issue you had with the landing tread. I'm assuming that by "narrower," you meant that the wood was thinner than the 3/4 oak flooring you were installing. We will double-check the thickness of our landing treads on the back edge to see if a variance has occurred. Again, thank you for letting us know, and we're sorry that you had a negative experience with this item.

Worked great for our loft
This landing tread worked great on the edge of our loft. We had carpet before and upgraded to wood for our floor and metal balusters instead of wood. This landing tread is perfect. I painted it off white to match our trim.
