A: Hi Shay. As someone in the community mentioned, you will need a cement pier or you can cut the welded base off of our taller EZ Posts and bury them with cement. Taller posts: model# EZSP72HB and EZSP96HB Thank you for your question. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
A: The post will work but the key is how they will be anchored. If you pour a cement pier, larger than the post and deeper than frost line, make a plywood template of the post hole pattern, then install anchor bolts using the template while the cement is wet should do it.
A: The post and base is very strong. Technically I can't answer the load limits, but I feel the anchors / and deck material would be the limiting factors! The anchors would fail before the post! I would recommend this post! I
A: I think you would need the post that goes with cable. We looked at many options including cable and got the railings, etc. that go with these posts. It looks great and functions great-love it.
A: Hi Tbird. This post has a .093" wall thickness and can only be used as a "pass through" or line post for cable rail. You can special order a thicker wall end/corner attachment post, (3/16" is what we used to sell with our cable rail system) by contacting us and we coordinate the sale through your local Home Depot Pro Desk. These posts are not predrilled. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org or 573.365.7085. Thanks for your question. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
A: Hi Nick. The low profile base covers are sold separately from this post. To quickly locate the base cover, simply search model# EZBCHB-LP. Thank you for your question. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
A: No, but you can purchase the base cover if needed.
A: Hi Geoffrey. For warranty replacement of the plastic bolt head caps, please email email@example.com and we will ship those out to you immediately. Please include your address and order number. Thank you, Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
