Product Details

The 1.9 in. Round EZ ADA End Cap is a small aluminum cap that fits inside the round pipe providing a smooth exterior finish to the hand rail or component. The tapered cap slides into the handrail for a tight friction fit. A rubber mallet works perfectly to fasten the cap in place.

Q:Are these sold "Per Cap" or does this product contain "2 caps as a set", one for each end of the corresponding tubing?

A:  I believe they are two per package, but I don’t remember

    A:  Hi. These are sold as each - one per order. The handrail kits contain the tube (handrail) and two of these caps as well as the mounting brackets. E.g. EZA4KIT-HB or EZA8KIT-HB. Thank you for your question. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)

      A:  Hi SWB. It is a very tight metal to metal friction fit. To date (5/8/17), we have not had an end cap escape yet and that's with installs from the Bahamas to Alaska. Now that I've said this, I'm sure I going to hear of a case. In such a case, we always test with and recommend Locktite's Metal Epoxy. Search Model # 1405605 on homedepot.com. You may also want to consider the kits (EZA8KIT-BZ, EZA6KIT-BZ, EZA4KIT-BZ, EZA3KIT-BZ) that contain the round handrail, mounting brackets, end caps and wood mounting fasteners.             These met our expectations! Were very easy to install. We used a rubber mallet to place them in the ends of our rails. Easy to install, firmly set in and in the 2 weeks they have been installed they have not loosened up. Very polished look to the end of our rail.
