Product Overview

Techniseal EZ Sand is a trusted and proven mix of graded sand and binder that flows smoothly down joints for a fast and effective installation of pavers or slabs on surfaces exposed to normal traffic. Easy to work with, this jointing sand starts to set only a few-minutes after activation and quickly becomes resistant to water erosion (rain, splashes, sprinklers, etc.). It is a budget-friendly alternative to higher performance sand, for installations carried out in lighter-duty environments.
  • Reduces weed growth
  • Deters ants and other insects
  • Helps reduce joint erosion - water, frost heaving, wind, power washing, etc.
  • Stabilizes paver installations - follows soil movement
  • For regular interlocking paver joints ( ⅛" to ½" wide)
  • One 40 lbs. bucket can cover up to 55 sq. ft.
  • The required quantity will depend on the shape and size of the pavers or slabs, as well as the width and depth of the joints.
  • Please note, the process of watering is critical - failure to follow directions may result in staining.

Used this on my patio. More weeds than ever. Manufacturer telling me its because I have weeds in the lawn and landscaping around the patio. Laughable.

Worth the quality for the money
At first I was suspicious about the quality. But then once I applied to the patio and filled up the gaps, poured sufiicient water and let it dry, it really worked well.but patio is large I had to use two rounds but it did tbe job.

      Rock hard results
I did my own cement pavers and filled in the spaces with this polymeric sand. Due to the rough nature of the pavers using a push broom proved to be a pain. Instead, I painstakingly poured the sand into each space between pavers and then wiped the sand off the tops with my gloved hands toward the next space. I made the cement pavers with a mold so the pavers are not smack next to each other. I followed the directions on the tub as far as watering goes and the result is those pavers are set. The sand is like rock. The downside is this stuff is expensive. It’s sand- yes it’s special sand, but it’s expensive. It’s the most expensive part of this project. I did buy some in a bag but I put the bag in the tub. I didn’t want to risk spilling any and it was more difficult to scoop out. If you’re just dumping and using a broom then the bags are fine. Get at least one tub if you’re set on the bags.

        It works fine
Not sure what the problems are with the negative reviews. I dug out my old failed sand, and brushed in the new polymeric sand. Wetted it per directions. It set up in a day and has been fine. Some of the larger particles do sit on top after drying snd need to be brushed or blown off after a week or do. This product works fine.

          Terrible product
This product does not work as described. It will work some when you put it down but does not completely solidify and will start coming loose after a big rain. It will start to completely wash away after 3 months. The company will not refund your money after you send in evidence and proof of product failing. I would run away from this and try something else.

I used EZ sand to set two Urbanite portions in place of a deteriorated concrete slab. It was easy to use and hardened as it was supposed to around the broken pieces of concrete. It worked for me and looks great on my patio/deck renovation.
              The worst!!
I just came in to write this review after sweeping yet again what seems like a beach off my pavers! If I could give zero stars I would. 2-3 weeks ago we began this project keeping an eye on the weather for a large window of suitable time. We followed the instructions to a T, watched the manufacturers videos and then began. We spent hours prepping and applying the sand to our 3 tiered paver patios and steps. I cannot express how thoroughly disappointed I am with the results. I wonder if there was any adhesive this batch!?! Honestly, I could have gotten the same results with bags of play sand. It would probably been a finer grit then what was in these containers. This resembled cinder... I had to pick stones/pebbles out. I should have went with my gut when I saw them and taken it back to the store for a refund. It’s bad enough the money wasted but what’s worse is the amount of time, energy and sweat that went into this project only to have it not adhere in the joints. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Go to a contractor for the better materials.
