Eagle Acid Stains create marbled variations of color on cured concrete by chemical reaction with the minerals in the concrete. Every concrete floor will react with its own unique pattern. Once sealed with clear sealer, your floor will pop with an elegant look. Acid Staining is a tedious process. Eagle concrete dyes should be considered if a simple process is important.

Acid Stain can be used on any concrete surface. Be sure to clean and neutralize the acidic residue after staining. Avoid using Jade, Aquamarine, or Patina color, as they are not UV stable.
Eagle Sealer Acid Stain was not designed or tested for use on or in birdbaths. Our Acid stain will react and stain concrete, but likely not hold its color if a waterproof sealer is not applied.
If you have not neutralized the surface, there may be a long-term bonding and appearance issue, as the acid will continue to attack the concrete and attack the sealer if applied.
Yes, the acid stain can be used on acid blocks, however, the results may vary from what is shown on the color brochure/website. I recommend doing a test spot. Sealing the concrete blocks may be difficult if that is the end goal.
Our Acid Stains will possibly stain any material that has cement; however, the mix ratios, admixtures and finish will effect how the stain reacts. Test areas should always be preformed with acid stains to determine reactivity and color. Also, Onyx is not black. Black is not a color that can be achieved with acid stains. Onyx is a concentration of brown that can give the illusion of black on the right material or it can also look very brown.
A polycuramine coating can be applied over the acid stains. Make sure you clean all residue and properly neutralize the stain before applying the sealer
The Acid Stains cover between 200-400 square feet per gallon depending on the finish and porosity of the concrete. Also, depending on the finish of the concrete, the Etch and Clean may be needed. Our Cleaner Degreaser Neutralizer is necessary to neutralize the stain and a sealer is recommended. The choice of sealer would depend on finish of the concrete, location and desired look. There are specific dyes made for changing the color of grout and they would be a better choice than an acid stain. We would not recommend our stain for that application.
