Based on the reviews on HomeDepot, looks like this is the best penetrating sealer for driveways. However, this is non-glossy. How could I give a wet-look to the concrete?

Not sure how you can give it a wet look. All I can say is I have been happy with the sealant on my drive, walkway, porch and steps. I think it is the best sealer for concrete.

How long before you cab walk on it

It will dry as fast as water. On a sunny day at temp above 80 degree, it will dry in 15 minutes. I would wait for 2.hours before stepping on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was looking for a sealer that I could easily apply with a sprayer and did not alter the look of... I was looking for a sealer that I could easily apply with a sprayer and did not alter the look of my concrete driveway. I did NOT want a wet look or gloss finish on the driveway -- secondary to concerns of slipperiness. Last year I used Thompson Water Sealer but was very disappointed after the appearance of terrible dark blotchey spots on my concrete driveway (which many others have experienced as well). It was kind of infuriating to see the driveway turn black after spending hours power washing. Given the positive reviews for the Eagle Sealer, I figured I would try Eagle and WOW! -- It dried perfectly clear with no blotchy dark spots. Application was easy with a backpack style garden pump sprayer and the driveway look is unchanged -- which is a great thing -- after application. Water beads nicely after application as expected. Thank you Eagle! My only gripe is that no stores carry this item and I had to wait a week for delivery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I applied one coat of the concrete sealer using a 2 gallon tank sprayer. The concrete was poured 2 years ago and had a sealer applied by the contractor at that time. It was recommended that I re-apply a sealer every year or two to keep my concrete in good condition.. I have almost two thousand square feet of concrete and the 2, five gallon buckets I ordered was just enough to complete the project; so the coverage estimate was spot on. It was easy to apply and did not change the appearance of the concrete; just what I wanted, I did not want a high gloss look. Water beads up on the surface and this will hopefully reduce the chance of cracking from water getting into small cracks and freezing this winter. Clean up was easy since this is a water based product. I am completely happy with the ease of application and the appearance, time will tell if it provides the protection I am looking for. I plan to re-apply the sealer again either next year or the year after to protect my investment.

Tried using just a roller and pan and found that it was very slow. Then tried using a pump-up sprayer and found that it was a lot quicker; just used the roller to even it out. A pop-up shower hit while I was working, but the sealer and rain seem to have dried and the sealer is still repelling water. If possible, get them to agitate the container at the store before you use it. I got two 5-gallon containers on two different days; the first 5-G I just stirred a lot with a long stir stick but there seems to be some sealant stuck to the inside of the empty bucket. The second, I used an agitator chucked into a drill-driver and it seems to have done a good job. With this second bucket, I found that the filter on the sprayer clogged several times, probably showing that the sealant was fully mixed. Sprayer nozzle rinsed out quickly. Fully recommend this product, but: get it agitated at the store and used a sprayer for quicker application.

Picked up this product at my local store. Sealer was easy to apply with my handheld sprayer. Cleanup was quick and simple with just soapy water. The only reason I gave this product a four star instead of a five was that I did end up using all 5 gallons on my 700 square-foot patio to get the coverage I was comfortable with. Product was rated for 5 gallons to cover 1000 ft.². It is entirely possible that I over applied the product since this was my first experience with Eagle Natural Seal, but I quickly overlapped all areas to be sure I had even coverage. The results were incredible! The appearance of my brushed concrete patio is absolutely unchanged, but the water beads on the surface and runs off a slight incline as if it were sitting on a freshly waxed automobile. So far, I am absolutely delighted with the Eagle Natural Seal product. I am anxious to see how long the product lasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is easy to use and repels water nicely when dry. It is amazing that it doesn’t change ... This stuff is easy to use and repels water nicely when dry. It is amazing that it doesn’t change the appearance of.the concrete but it the water beads up as soon as it hits the surface. It is really cool, but there are two trade offs worth mentioning. First, because the water beads up and stays on the surface it takes a lot longer for the concrete surface to dry after getting wet. This is no fault of the product ... it is just physics because an an untreated concrete surface is porous and the water can go thru and dissipate easier. If the water stays on top you have to water for it to evaporate... which takes longer. The second issue is product related and is related to the first item. Because small patches of water linger on the surface, any dirt or contamination in the water can leave stains in some cases. For example, wet leaves that are dirty can leave a mark after drying. This hasn’t been a huge problem so far and is not worth reducing to 4 stars but I will monitor it to see if it becomes a worse. Overall very satisfied for now.

I was concerned when I found out that commercial sealers cost 3 or 4 times more and we just simply couldn't afford it. So we decided to give the Eagle Natural Seal a shot. It was easy to apply with a hand pump weed sprayer. And I followed with a roller just to help get everything saturated. Coverage on our concrete was much better than 1000 sq. ft. per 5 gallons. We have about 2000 sq. ft. so I got two 5-gallon pails and we barely used any from the second pail. And we applied it generously. Maybe that's because it's newer concrete? Not sure. You can see how well the water beads up in the pictures I attached. Kind of fun watching the beads roll down the driveway. I guess I've just never seen properly sealed concrete before. Bottom line, I definitely recommend this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No change after applying to driveway After a thorough search online I decided to give Eagle Natural Seal a try - it gets a lot of great reviews and very few complaints. I placed an order online since my local HD doesn't stock the item. Arrived quickly and I went about following the directions precisely to prepare my driveway. Spent the better part of a weekend prepping, applying (started by rolling but that didn't go well so switched to sprayer), and waiting. A few days later we had some rain, I rushed to the window to see the product in action and unfortunately there was no change. I continued to monitor the pavement over the coming weeks and still no change. I contacted the manufacturer about the issue - they sent me another sample, thinking maybe I needed two coats. I recently completed this test and still no change. Unfortunately, I have to disagree with the consensus and not recommend this product. I have since used similar products from Sika for other projects and have had a much better experience with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I researched many products and finally purchased this, mostly due to its fair price and great rev... I researched many products and finally purchased this, mostly due to its fair price and great reviews. My last driveway had spalling all over the surface and looked awful. I didn't want that to happen again. My neighbor used a diff brand that rhymes with halspar. His driveway doesn't bead up water like mine. But it may be because he didn't apply it like I did. Here's how to apply this so that it looks like mine. Spray it on evenly with care, one section at a time. Spray the first section evenly then move to the next section and spray that. Look back at the previous section and again spray the spots that are already drying. Then use a paint roller on a long stick and roller over the surface to further ensure you get an even coating. Continue this process until you're all done. It dries quickly so be sure to do small sections at a time. Like 5x5 or however your driveway joints are cut. I purchased two 5-gal buckets and I only used 7.5 gallons total. I did approx 2100 square feet with 7.5 gallons. So 280 sqft per gallon. Surface is NOT slick from the sealer as you'd think it might be.
