A: Ph of the product will vary depending on the types of forest products used. pH is not measured for these products, as pH is a characteristic of liquids or wet items.
A: No Idea, sorry contact the manufacturer, they would know
A: The Scotts website doesn't say whether this mulch is acidic or alkaline. However, it does say that this mulch is made from "forest products." If that is true, then the mulch is probably alkaline. If you want a mulch that is acidic, then select sphagnum peat moss, pine needle mulch, or pine bark.

A: I have had this on my yard for some time now, there were no warnings on the bag and nothing on the website. My dogs plat all the time in the yard with no issues.
A: I think so, I've used it for years, it hasn't ever affected my dog
A: As with all wood; the origin begins with pollination. Seeds are formed and life of the tree begins. At maturity the trees are harvested and then used in multiple ways around the world. Many municipalities use season ending Christmas trees that are shredded and recycled into mulch. Mulch manufacturing does the same. Since pallets are used until non functional most are burned or used as chip board products for roofing & siding. Today's pallets are not the pallets of yesteryear (OR) rarely oak. EARTHGRO mulch is made directly from forest products. This mulch is not a recycled product. It is a "Green" product that prevents waste of natural unused forest resources. Using branches, tree tops, broken or split trees as mulch is CONSERVATISM of natural resources. Scott's EARTHGRO is the prime example of NOT wasting natural resources. I think that your assumption that any company using pallets or old decking is absurd. The ability to even ask this as a "ConcernedConsumer" really asks ~ this information is readily available anywhere online. Severe contamination of OUR Earth from ZERO recyclable products like BHP, BHA, ALL polyester, ALL microfiber, ALL rayon, most (90+%) plastics & ALL micro-plastics found in your home are FAR MORE horribly dangerous chromosome changing chemicals. Put away this accusation ~ Home Depot offers the BEST mulch ~ Scott's EARTHGRO. I purchase 20 to 40 bags every other year. Thank you Home Depot !
A: We appreciate your interest in Earthgro Red Color Advantage Mulch. The wood used in our colored mulches is natural forest products that are by-products of the timber industry. You can contact us if you need assistance with any other questions. Our phone number is 877-220-3089.
A: Earthgro is made by Scotts MiracleGro, and according to their website, they do not use pallet wood or construction debris in their mulch, which is one reason that it is more expensive than other mulches. I use only this mulch for my yard, and I use about 100 bags of mulch every other year. I have reduced the grass in my yard to only three small spots to eliminate the need for chemicals to maintain it. So I have a lot of large planting beds that need mulch. I have never noticed any construction debris in the bags, and only minimal weed seeds.
A: Well you have educated me.... I was NOT aware that they used old shipping pallets. I would suggest you contact the supplier of the mulch to get an answer
A: Nelson, there are 75 bags per pallet.
