Review of my MC440 cultivator
I bought this cultivator about 4 months ago and have used it twice so far. When I first bought it I had a hard time starting it, however, the second time I used it it started on the second pull -- not too bad after sitting for 3-4 months. The engine is powerful and the unit is easy to move around or carry. The controls are excellent! I looked at several competitor machines and choose this one because of the 4 stroke engine and layout of the handlebar configuration.
The only bad things about this cultivator are the tines. If you look at one of the pictures I attached, one of the tines cracked. The company replaced it free of charge. However, I mistakenly gave them the wrong side, so I ended up welding the cracked part. The tine metal is very thin. I believe the issue is related to my rocky soil. If you have just plain dirt, you probably won't experience any problems. I've looked at other manufacturers tines, but wasn't impressed with theirs either. This could be a very good cultivator with heavier duty tines.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

I used this for 4 hours on the weekend. There is a engine break in period where there will not be full power. It is great because it should work and last longer than most cultivators of this size. I did not know about the reversing of the tines maybe the work i am doing will be a lot faster.

Great little tiller for existing garden areas. If you have much grass or weeds in the area you are tilling it will get entangled in the tines. After initially getting rid it grass or weeds it does a great job of breaking up the soil. Lightweight, easy to use and not too rough on your back or arms.

Fix the STUPID pull handle
Started fine right out of the box. Used it for an hour a couple of days ago, does an okay job for its size.
Went to use it a SECOND time last night, pulled the pull handle and the handle broke IN TWO.
Obviously CHEAP CHINESE junk when it comes to the pull handle.
Returning it to store, will buy a second one and see what happens.

If within Warranty, you would want to call Customer Service at 800-345-6007 option 1, then option 1 for assistance. Typically, this is a wear item, however, often times if you have only had the machine for a couple months, we will replace one under Warranty. So, again, if you haven't returned to store, call Customer Service.
