The question I was asked was about the corded lawnmower so battery charging and discharge time is irrelevant. I bought a corded lawnmower and have been using it for five or six years. I looked into getting a battery mower but didn't because the literature said a charge lasted about 45 minutes. I can do my front yard in 45 minutes but not my back. I was going to get a second battery and have one charged and ready to be put on the mower when the other ran out of power. The second battery was going to be expensive and after a few years I expected that they would both start to loose their ability to hold a charge. The one issue with a corded mower is you can use no more than a 100 ft cord. Otherwise there's too much voltage drop. I have outlets on the front, back and side of my house and can reach everywhere with a 100 ft cord. Managing not to run over and cut the cord has never been an issue. My cord is orange and stands out clearly. I strongly recommend the Earthwise. It cuts without trouble even very high grass.
Ang, Thank you for your question. The Earthwise Mower, comes assembled. You will have to loosen the knobs on the handle to fold it into place and then retighten. The only assembly is to either install the side discharge chute or the mulch plug. Both of these require no tools. We hope this answered your question. Earthwise/American Lawn Mower Company
this is plug in machine. no battery required.
I would call the company.
