We use our patented thermo-treatment technology to speed up the aging of the wood. If you compare the cell structure of 350-year old wood with the thermo-treated wood (see in the picture), you'll see that they are similar. Can these planks be stained? Poly coated? Or are they intended to be used as is? Thanks
These panels are designed to be used as is with the existing factory finish. While an additional coating could potentially be applied, we have not tested stain or polyurethane over the factory finish and can't guarantee the appearance or performance. We would recommend testing any additional finish on a small area first.
