Helping out a old friend. Bought this Loadcenter to replace a old dangerous pool control. The quality and build of this Eaton BGR 70 is very good, much stronger than I thought. Installation was very straightforward and simple. That knockouts were easy to remove. The new circuit breakers installed quite easily. I strongly recommend Eaton.

Great for Expansion
I installed this load center as part of an electrical expansion in my garage and wanted a box that was the same size and make as the existing one. I installed ten NEMA 16-20's, four 14-50's, and two 14-30's in a four car garage for future shop use and electric vehicle charging.
The electrical inspection went well. I used an Eaton BRS-225 main lug kit to connect the new panel to the existing one with 2/0 for the hots and neutral and 1/0 for the ground. The inspector said they hadn't seen that in a residential application but once I showed that the BRS-225 part number was on the breaker panel sticker for use she was ok with it. For the DYI I recommend having your load calc readily available; I had mine printed.
It was a fun project and I saved a lot doing it myself. I highly recommend this panel.
