Eaton is excited to launch a surge bundle. The surge bundle consists of the CHSPTSURGE, whole house surge protector and two surge receptacles. Our homes are filled with sensitive electronics. These devices are easily damaged by common power surges in your electrical, telephone and cable lines. It only takes a lightning storm near your home to create a high-energy electrical surge that can enter your house and destroy your appliances, TVs, stereo equipment and almost all other modern electrical products. The Eaton surge products are designed to provide protection at the point of entrance to the home. Protection at this location can reduce surges entering the home to an acceptable level for your home electronics and appliances.
- Does not protect against direct lighting strikes
- CHSPT2SURGE is externally mounted making it universal - compatible with any manufacturer's load center
- CHSPT2SURGE should be connected on the load side of the load center main service disconnect through a dedicated circuit breaker
- CHSPT2SURGE is NEMA 4 enclosure for either indoor or outdoor use
- Eaton's complete home surge protection type 2 devices (CHSPT2 series) protect your home electronics from the damaging effects of electrical surges, they provide premium surge protection for AC power and cable at the point of entrance to the home, protection at this location can reduce surges entering the home to an acceptable level for your home electronics and appliances
- For the CHSPT2SURGE it is recommended to use a 2-pole 15 Amp circuit breaker, sold separately
- Includes (2) 15 Amp surge receptacles, 1208, with a joule rating of 340 joules
