I plan on installing Vinyl Plank Flooring in my basement. Currently has cement floors. If I lay this down, can I install the planks directly on top or do I need to also install a subfloor on top of this before putting the planks down?

Is this ECF underlayment can be used under LifeProof vinyl?

As vinyl plank installation requirements vary by brand, we always recommend the flooring manufacturers installation instructions are followed. Can this be installed directly over deck boards on a screen covered porch?
Thank you for your interest in Eco Cork Foam underlayment! ECF was created for interior use with wood, laminate and LVP flooring over a wood or concrete subfloor. ECF has never been formally tested for exterior installation. That being said, ECF is waterproof and has a 6 mil vapor barrier pre-attached so you should not have any challenges but we cannot recommend as 3rd party testing has not been completed. We hear of so many interesting and innovative uses of ECF every day from happy consumers who share their projects with us so please share pictures if you use it for your intended application and good luck with your project!
Can this be used under 24 x 48 porcelain tiles?
Eco Cork Foam underlayment is not rigid and has some cushion (3.2mm) that allows for a small amount of movement. Therefore, it is not an ideal underlayment for stone or tile applications. Please visit our website at www.ecfunderlayment.com for more technical information.
Do you need adhesive with this product?
Thank you for your interest in Eco Cork Foam. ECF is NOT approved for use with any glues or adhesives as they could affect the integrity of the product. However, ECF is extremely easy to install and approved methods of installation are either floating or nail/staple/tape down applications. Is this underlayment great for Malibu Wide Plank Rigid Core Designer Vinyl Flooring with ArmorCore Technology in 7 mm total thickness with 30 mil wear layer and a 1 mm thick pre-attached underlayment to each plank?
Eco Cork Foam underlayment is applicable with vinyl floorings that are 5mm or greater in thickness. Your vinyl flooring wear layer of 30-mil thickness is equivalent to approx. 0.76mm, coupled with a 1mm pre-attached pad, so as long as the floor itself is at the required thickness of 5mm or greater, it should indeed be great!
How well does this work on cold concrete floors
