The secret sauce to getting a smooth cut...
LOVE this border with its thickness and the ease of mowing right over the edges. Knew I'd have to cut some, so I researched of all reviews on how to cut this border. I can tell you right now, don't waste your time or your energy attempting with a hacksaw - instead, use a reciprocating saw, get you a sawzall blade (I used a 9" blade made for metal), grab some patience & some safety gear & get to sawin'. Be prepared for kickback, but this gets the job done quickly & effectively. Nice clean cuts!

Absolutely PERFECT for edging without needing to dig. It bends when you need it to and holds its shape. Super sturdy. Absolutely perfect for edging my daughter's playground as it's soft enough for her not to get hurt when she lands on it.

I used this to replace some of the old dig-in black plastic landscape edging that the winters here always wreak havoc on. I just raked it level and laid down some long strips of landscape fabric with just a few landscape pins, then after securing all of the curbing I simply trimmed the excess fabric away from the front. Also, I only drove the stake in halfway on the first pass, stand up and look at it and adjust as needed then after tehe whole thing was as straight as I could get it I nailed them all in using my knee as a brace and a rubber mallet. I also have vert rocky soil, these curb stakes didn't get held up once, which is a feat of magic in my yard. Overall it worked out really well. Looks great, we did grey with Scott's "black" mulch(which is really brown, see attached picture) in an 80' long bed around our deck.
With that said I think the term "eco" is a bit much and should be changed. This is a 20 year solution according to the manufacturer, at which time the question arises; what to do with the spent curbing? Does EcoBorder take them back for free? Landfill? It's a lot of rubber.

Good product. Only downside is i've re-ordered the same thing multiple times and the newer shipments ended up being a different shade of brown than the originals i've received. I returned them and once again reordered but again received different shades which isn't ideal. Product itself is great though.

I wanted a rubber border for my backyard playset that would be tall enough to hold rubber mulch in the play area but not so tall as to be a significant trip hazard. The swept front profile of this edging is unique and attractive. It takes some skill and effort to join the pieces and install them such that they lay flat, so take your time to prep the area. I dropped one star for the following:
1) price
2) it would have been better if the manufacturer had tested and recommended an adhesive for joining the sections. I had to do some research, and time will tell if the products I chose will hold the sections together over time.
3) There is cosmetic design flaw: the ends that join together don't continue the pattern. See attached photo.
It is difficult to place the border with tight curves. I had originally planned a serpentine shape, but I was not able to make it work. I ended up making one large sweep.

Easy to use and looks great!! First time landscaping and this is a great cheat for any newbies like me. I just installed the product two weeks ago, I love that it’s easy to now around and requires no digging. Will wait to see how it holds up in MI weather.

Great border to work with. Pre-drilled holes before using rubber mallet to pound into place or connect sides. Looks amazing. Holds mulch in. Not sure how it will be with mower or wacker yet.
