Product Overview

The EcoSmart LED Motion Activated Security Floodlights easily convert existing outdoor flood lights to LED motion sensing security lights in seconds. The built-in radar motion sensor detects motion within a 25 ft. range and keeps lights on for 1-minute after the last detected movement. The sensor detection angle is 100. Radar technology is more reliable and longer lasting than traditional infrared sensing. The built-in daylight sensor keeps daytime motion from triggering the lights. For 24/7 operation, the motion and daylight sensors can be easily deactivated by a simple flip of the light switch. Great for under eaves, backyards, driveways, doorways and more.
  • Radar motion sensor 25 ft. detection range
  • 100° detection angle

  • Easily deactivate sensors to allow for constant 24/7 bulb operation
  • Switch lights ON for normal motion sensor mode
  • Switch OFF, then back ON (within 3-seconds) for always-on, 24/7 operation

Years ago I replaced my light set with a motion detection light set. At that time, I had to take off my existing set from the wires and put up my new set. Bulbs was extra. Now comes Ecosmart LED motion sensor lights using only 13 watts and has 1200 lumens. I have another outdoor light fixture that has lasted for 25 years. So why take it off. All I had to do is replace the bulbs. You cannot make it any easier. It also stated bulbs could last up to 22 years. Maybe I will get 22 more years from the light set. Very bright and comes on as it said with motion.

There Ecosmart motion sensor bulbs are great. I went out and bought three more packages. I originally got these for a side light but now I have them in all of my outside lights. These work great in my application where there is a light on the side of the house and six in the back. As the sensors are on each light they “follow” you as you walk around the house. The color is good...not too yellow and not too blue.

Ecosmart’s 1200 Lumens LED motion-activated floodlight is loaded with features and earned my enthusiastic five-star rating. The bulbs are sold two to a pack and reasonably priced. The bulbs are energy efficient for three reasons: First: they produce 1200 Lumens (equivalent to a 120-watt incandescent bulb) with only 13 watts of electricity. The second reason is the energy-saving dusk to dawn feature that turns the light off during the day. The third energy saver is the motion detection feature, which in normal operation only turns the bulb on when motion is detected (within a 25-foot range) and automatically turns the bulb off again one minute after the last detected movement. You can disable the motion sensor by turning the bulb on then off then on within 3 seconds. After that, the light will remain on without any motion detected. To reactivate the motion detection, turn the light off then on. I’ve had these bulbs for two weeks, and I intend to use them on the exterior of my house above my front and back doors. I have a motion-activated doorbell/camera at each door, but I’m not satisfied with the video quality in low light. These bulbs will solve that problem. The bulbs are Wet rated and have a temperature of 5000K (nearly sunlight quality for sharp doorbell videos). The bulbs will operate in weather down to -3 degrees Farenheight. I live in Kansas, and the temperature rarely reaches that low. I have been testing these bulbs in my garage and basement because I haven’t found a suitable fixture. My existing outside door light fixtures are mounted on the porch ceilings and hold small Candelabra Base Light Bulbs. There doesn’t seem to be a wide selection of ceiling hung, downward-facing, standard base light fixtures. Also, the bulb cannot be used in an enclosed fixture because of heat buildup. I may have to settle for the more industrial look of security light fixtures. These bulbs are estimated to last for 25,000 hours or 22 years. I’m in my 70’s it feels strange owning light bulbs that may outlast me. I’ve also tried using these bulbs in my small video conferencing studio. The 5000K and 1200 Lumens works well for lighting the green screen and filling shadows.

I used these LED PAR 38's to replace two PAR 38's, 300 watts vs 26 watts. The reason being that they are used frequently and the old motion sensor timer for staying on after detection did not allow as short a duration. This should use less electricity both ways. One thing to watch for if replacing in an existing motion sensor fixture is that the old motion detector will still supply the power to the LED's. The switch supplying power to the sensor, as you may know, has two on positions. First time up puts the lights on until you turn them off [manual like any light switch] the next time the switch is cycled to on puts the sensor in control of when power is applied to bulb [after dark & motion]. These LED bulbs have the same feature in them. I just put the light switch in manual on, so that the sensor in the LED controls the light, not the fixtures sensor. They come on individually that way.

These bulbs are a great idea, the kids closet has a light with a pull chain that they can not reach so I put one of these heat sensing bulbs in and pulled the chain to leave the light on. After a minute the light turned off so I closed the door and asked my daughter for something in the closet, she opens the door and took one step and the light turned on for her. No more calls to turn the light on anymore ! I put one in my closet next and it works great, open the door and the light comes on. It stays on for one minute if you walk out and will pop back on if you go back for something else. Now I have to get one for the back porch lite.

The instructions for these lights are really easy. My other lights ( are the same brand) work well but don't have the motion sensor capability. This is a really nice upgrade to already good product. Only took me a couple of minutes to swap them out and then I waited until the evening to see if it worked. Just double check that it fits your unit. I did not fit in one of my other lights. I even dropped one by accident, but nothing happened. This clearly demonstrates the good quality.

Fantastic idea, but did not work for me. I have tried these in four separate light fixtures: an individual outdoor floor (my original intent), a two bulb external flood fixture, a standard overhead light fixture with two switches, a standard overhead light fixture with a single switch. Neither bulb that came in the box worked in any of any of these situations. I waited for complete darkness, tried the "single on" for motion detection and tried the "double on" for always on ... nothing. Swapped the original bulbs back into the fixtures and all good. Perhaps both the bulbs I received were defective, but I can't make them work in any scenario. Both bulbs rattle like there are loose pieces inside.

I am so happy that I chose to use the ECOSMART 120-WATT EQUIVALENT PAR38 LED MOTION SENSOR FLOOD LIGHT BULB BRIGHT WHITE (2-PACK). I have been using them for about a week and they seem very durable so far. They are so much better than halogen! I swapped out my old halogen flood lights for these and WOW! It’s literally like daylight outside. These lights are super BRIGHT! They have a good combination of spot/flood as well (at least from 20 feet overhead). I’d buy these again in a heartbeat.

I like that this spot light can work as a motion sensor without having the fixture it's self have to have the motion sensor in it. You also have the option to leave it in always on mode which I feel is an important feature so the light doesn't keep switching off when you want it on. It puts out a nice amount of light and it's not to bright. I would definitely recommend these flood lights outdoors and will consider purchasing more for other outdoor fixtures.

These motion-activated LED floodlights put out a very bright and white light. Although light in weight, not at all like the heavy traditional glass lens PAR floodlights, they seem quite durable. The lighter weight will probably not pull down the socket if installed in a friction-fit adjustable swivel fixture. The sensor does pick up motion at 25 feet, as stated, but the beam is quite narrow. This means that the light will come on when the moving object is straight on.
