    Super Bright Bulb
I bought one of these from Home Depot about 6 months ago, out of curiousity, because the bulb is huge. Got home, put it in the living room and wow, it is like four 100 watt bulbs, not one or two. The entire room lit up. Bought another for my son's room, now he can finally do his homework with plenty of light, I put two in the garage, now it is like the operating room in a hospital. No need for a special magnifying lamp on my workbench, I have plenty of light. You have got to try one, then you will know.

Not exactly instant, Not exactly compact
This bulb was a replacement for the 60-watt CFL equivalent left in the garage here by my predecessor. The first thing to know is that this bulb is easily 2-3x the size of a "normal" bulb so this won't fit into any fixture. That said, it's hugely bright compared with the 14-watt CFL the proceeded it. The garage is now actually usable without the door open. The other thing to note is that it's not exactly "instant-on". It takes a second to a second and a half after flipping the switch before the bulb spring to life. It's plenty bright enough at that moment (and brightens quickly as CFLs do) but that second of waiting leads to "uh???". You get used to it but if someone doesn't expect it, they might thing the light is out. That said, as long as it lasts longer than some of the other reviewers have stated, I'm very happy with this bulb. Hopefully by the time it's ready for replacement, they have a LED to take it's place.

      Worth every penny!
This replaced the standard 60 watt bulb that was in the hallway. I must say that I am very pleased with no humming, extreme output and build quality. Only one thing to note (not a deal breaker for me) is that the bulb takes a second or so longer to turn on after the switch is hit.

This is a very powerful CFL with several good uses.
This CFL is 65 actual watts with a 300 watt output. It is comparable to a "soft white" tube in light color. It works reliably, puts out quite a bit of light, runs absolutely quiet and doesn't get any hotter than a smaller CFL. It would be a good choice for an enclosed outdoor area light. Indoors it might be a bit of a big gun for normal use. I use it as a light for an indoor garden. Although a bit low in the spectrum, my peppers (jalapeno, cayenne & bell) are responding really well. For gardening use it's good for a few herbs, or one large plant like a pepper or tomato.

Most affordable way to light a barn or garage
Installed 15 keyless light sockets onto a 4" nail on box and had the same light output as a 4 T5 54 watt high output lamps for less than $20.00.

Great light, instant on, clean white color.
High end CFL. We put it in a 3-way (100/200/300W) lamp, and keep it on high, reducing the overall energy substantially, with better light and a lot less heat in the summer.

        Sale price is good
If the specs are correct it is about par for a cfl. Seems to have nice output i think it pulls a bit more wattage than rated its safe to say that the lumens are also out of whack (not as advertised) This is not a green bulb, but for the price i was compelled to see what its about. I have a few extra i may never use, not sure i want to return them either. not too exciting of a product.

        Bright bulbs!
I had trouble finding these bulbs and eventually located them in the store. Bulbs are bright, come on quickly and are very efficient.

Think you'll save the planet? Think again.
These bulbs provide good savings over incandescents if they last long enough. However, despite having a claimed 9 years of life, I've had 4 fail within a year. Keep your receipt and the warranty information from the box so the companies that manufacture and market these bulbs are held to their ridiculous lifespan claims. The mercury from prematurely failed bulbs is not exactly eco-friendly.
