Questions & Answers

Do these lights put off heat or does the bulb get hot?

Asked by: Danny
These bulbs are 4.5 watts, so, at most, they will generate 4.5 watts of heat, which isn’t very much. They will not get hot.

Beam angle? spot, flood? 35 degrees? 40? 60? Available in 2700K?

Asked by: jim
As a general rule, a spotlight has a beam width of no more than 45 degrees the corresponding cone is no more than +/-22.5 degrees. From 7 feet, the spot size was about 8+/- feet in diameter equating to a cone width of 60 to 70 degrees or +/-30 to +/-35. Hence, it is in the floodlight category. I'm not sure if it is made in a 2700K version by this manufacturer.

Will these work in my stove hood where I used to have two par20 50 watt ecosmart less? I want dimmer light.

Asked by: Maine
The par16 is a smaller, shallower bulb. The light will sit deeper in the hood. Yes, the bulb base will fit and light up, but it might not look as good as a par20. Google par16 vs par20 to see the size difference. Cheers and good luck.
