Lots of yes/no answers conflicting answers here spanning several years. I have these bulbs in hand. It's October 2018 and the package as well as the bulb itself is labeled to say that they are safe to use in totally enclosed fixtures.

Can I use dimmable light bulbs in non dimmable fixtures? Can the 60 watt daylight bulb be used in an enclosed bathroom fixture?
Asked by: dg
I use the dimmable ones in non-dimmable sockets without issue. The back of the box states the following with regards to fully enclosed fixtures: "THIS DEVICE IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE WITH EMERGENCY EXITS. Not for Use in Totally Enclosed Fixtures." It further states: "SUITABLE FOR DAMP LOCATIONS; DO NOT USE WHERE DIRECTLY EXPOSED TO WATER" - Picture of box attached
