65-Watt Equivalent BR30 CFL Light Bulb Soft White (2-Pack) is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 61.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from How about... NO. I don't understand. I had these exact same bulbs in my kitchen from a few years back. OK, they didn't last the promised 6 years, but the 2700K color was actually quite nice. I bought a replacement after the first one burnt out, and thought the brightness and color temp were actually *better*, so I bought the other four for the kitchen. WRONG. Out of three two packs, only ONE BULB was the correct color temp. All the rest were hot blue. It made the kicthen look like a 1960's morgue. You have gotta be kidding me with this baloney.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, lasts In installed about 50 of these during a house renovation in 2008. The brand was originally N:Vision, prior to the name change to EcoSmart. One bulb quit after one day. The others are still going strong 4.5 years later. Light is definitely a soft white and does take a minute or so to come to full strength.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Harsh Blue The price is great but the light is harsh, bright and bluish. There may be a manufacturing mix up because these are certainly not "soft white" as the package claims. I suspect they are actually "daylight" bulbs mislabeled.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They don't last. Check your warranty Purchased these in a 6 pack just about two years ago. Less than average usage and four out of six have now failed. When they fail it's like something has come loose inside. Never mind I thought - it comes with a 7 year warranty. But when you try to claim against it they tell you I should have registered them within 30 days of buying them. Even with a receipt proving they are only two years old, they won't stand behind the warranty. I guess with these going in the landfill sooner than any conventional incandescent, I was neither "Eco", nor "Smart" to buy these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Soft White These lamps are a great price with good light output. However, they are too blue. I put these into my kitchen recessed fixtures. As they warmed up, the light went from marginally warm to blue. My kitchen also has under cabinet fluorescents with GE kitchen and bath tubular lamps in them. The color is 3000K and they produce a nice soft white light. These claim to be 2700K, so they should be a little more yellow than my under cabinet lights, but they are not. If you want blueish lights with poor color rendering, these things are for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not a soft white Just installed two of these bulbs. One in my bedroom and one in the living room. The brightness is actually nice, but it is not a soft white, more like a bright white. I have different brands of energy efficient bulbs in both rooms and all are soft white and all look the same as far as brightness goes. Checked the bulbls to make sure they were in the right box and all is marked as soft white/2700. Will have to see how long they last and will probably install these in the kitchen for their brightness.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't live up to usage times Bought a six pack of these bulbs for my six can lights that I installed from Home Depot. installed the bulbs in February by June of the same year three of the six are either working intermittently or not at all. I tried them in other fixtures around the house with the same result. If you tap them just right they will work for an hour or two and then not work again. The printed brand on the bulb is TCP which is different than the most recent purchase (before I had these problems) of an Eco Smart package

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Experience Ever! I bought 2 packs for the bathroom. DON'T DO IT. They are generally still coming on by the time I exit the bathroom, and 2 have had awful flickers. Home Depot should stop selling this product.
