one of the bulbs unresponsive after two months
I was able to connect this device to My echo plus right away. However after two months of use via the the switch, and, or Alexa, one of the bulbs has stopped responding to smart hub commands.

2 ZigBee Smart bulbs for under $15!
I have been upgrading my home lighting to be controlled with Alexa or the SmartThings app and these bulbs are perfect! Finding smart bulbs for cheap is difficult, but these dimmable and tunable bulbs are a killer deal. The warm to cool white spectrum with these is perfect. With a Samsung SmartThings hub already in my house (and they should work with Google or Alexa hubs too) you just twist them in, flip the switch and search for them with the app. They were synced in seconds. I put them in the areas of my house where my kids forget to turn off the light so I can set up an automation with either Alexa or Smarthings to turn them off after they have been on too long, or at certain times to avoid wasting power. The other awesome thing is they are Zigbee!! What this means is other Zigbee enabled items connect to them via a mesh network. Wifi runs on two separate bands, 2.4GHz and 5Ghz (most smart devices only go 2.4) Bluetooth is another frequency band, and Zigbee is yet another. Wifi gets cluttered with all the devices that get on it, and often smart home devices get booted, Bluetooth as well is limited in number of simultaneous connections. Zigbee is different in that you are not likely to lose items easily, and bulbs act as repeaters, widening the mesh network of all your smart devices, giving them a stronger broader range than one wifi router. You can have tons more devices connected, each strengthening the mesh network. Also with a ton of other bulbs, you have to use the manufacturer's app, (sorry but I don't trust giving some of them access to my smartphone) these just sync right to your own setup. I have had them for a week and hopefully they last!

I have Philips Hue whites as well as Lifx mini whites controlled by Echo Plus second generation. The Home Depot EcoSmart Smart bulbs are equally as good if not better. If you want a bulb that has nice temperature control and the ability to dim very low the Home Depot EcoSmart Smart bulb is an excellent choice! Inexpensive too!

These are light bulbs, alright. They are not just ordinary light bulbs. They are adjustable I. Hue and brightness when used with a signed hub and app. It’s really nice to be able to make these changes remotely. Super convenient to be able to turn lights off and on without having to take a tour of the whole house to do it. I would definitely buy again

EcoSmart 65-Watt Equivalent BR30 Dimmable Smart Wireless LED Light Bulb Tunable White Well, I picked up this bulb thinking that it’s a smart bulb. Yes it is a smart bulb but needs zigby or amazon echo or other hubs to actually operate it. These days many bulbs can be controlled directly by amazon Alexa or google home not sure why the manufacturer didn’t offer that as an option. Anyway it is can still be used as a regular bulb. If you have any of those smart hubs then you can easily control the temperature between daylight and soft white. Let me tell you it has just 650 lumens output which may not be enough (atleast wasn’t enough for me).

Little by little, my place has become a smart home. I wanted to make some of my lights smart, and these EcoSmart bulbs are excellent products. I have the Samsung Connect Home, which is a whole-house Wi-Fi, and it includes the hub for smart devices. These bulbs are compatible with the Connect and SmartThings app. Adding the smart bulb to the app was faster than installing the bulb onto the socket. It was super easy and fast. The bulbs' tunable feature works like a charm, there are two slide bar controls, one for the dimming and the other is for the color temperature of the bulb. The color temperature range is from 2,703 K Warm to 6,500 K Cool. What I like about the app is the ability to program the bulbs with a timer (10 min, 30 min, 1 hr or Custom), or schedule power on/off. The schedule allows any time, up-to-the-minute, not an interval setting, and it can be any day(s) of the week. This product works great for automatically turning on the driveway or patio light, which will save energy cost. It is also great as a security measure by turning an empty room light on during the night to deter intruders. Typically, when robbers see lights on a house at night, they avoid that house and go to another dark house. Overall, I am satisfied with these bulbs; they are easy to set up and use it for various lighting purposes.

You need the correct hub for tuning these bulbs. It talks about It working with Zigbee and Amazon Alexa. I have Amazon Alexa but not the right hub so I couldn’t test the settings. I think I need the Echo for it to work. The bulbs, however, will work in a regular fixture as a light bulb. You just can’t tune them to the settings without the right hub. Check to be sure that you have the required hub. They also don’t work with a dimmer.

Hub Required! Huge downside compared to similar LED smart bulbs. Besides that, this 2-pack is great. These Dimmable EcoSmart LED Bulbs let you set your desirable light temperature, AKA the color. Emits light comparable to a 60w incandescent bulb. We found this ample for our accent lights in our living room. Conveniently works with our Amazon Echo Plus. Will work without setting it to a hub/smart device, light is set to about 5000k (we tried that before set it up to the hub). Smart setup was a breeze, similar to other smart devices.

Although it says it works with Alexa I was unable to get alexa to recognize it much less control it! There were no instructions in the box and alexa did not have any help connecting the echosmart brand bulbs. There is a mention on the box about a smart things hub required but I don't really want to buy anything extra since I already have several other lights that Alexa controls with no problems setting them up and nothing additional needed.
