Questions & Answers

How do I screw these in?
ByFeb 19, 2026

Answer This Question

Hello, to screw in these EcoSmart Universal Select LED light bulbs, follow these general steps: Turn off the power: Before handling any light bulb, ensure the light fixture's power switch is in the "off" position. For added safety, you may also want to turn off the power at the circuit breaker. Select your desired settings: These bulbs feature two switches on the bulb itself. Use the first switch to select your preferred color temperature (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K, or 6500K) and the second switch to select the maximum lumen output (40-Watt, 60-Watt, 75-Watt, or 100-Watt equivalent). It is generally easiest to make these selections before screwing the bulb into the fixture. Align the bulb: The bulb has an E26 Medium base. Carefully align the threaded base of the bulb with the socket in your light fixture. Screw in the bulb: Gently turn the bulb clockwise until it is snug in the socket. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the bulb or the fixture. Restore power: Once the bulb is securely in place, turn the power back on at the switch or circuit breaker. If you need to change the brightness or color temperature settings after the bulb is screwed in, you can do so if there is enough space to access the switches on the bulb.

Will this work in a three way light?
        ByFeb 6, 2026
        1 Answer |
        Answer This Question

Hello, this light bulb is designed with built-in switches to select your preferred brightness (wattage equivalent) and color temperature before installation. It is not designed to function as a traditional 3-way bulb where the lamp itself cycles through different brightness levels. If you are looking for an LED bulb specifically made to work in a 3-way lamp, you might consider SKU 1012869240, which is designed for that purpose.

Can this bulb be used at 75 or 100 watt setting in a light fixture that is a 60 watt bulb max fixture?
            ByFeb 4, 2026
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

Hello, yes, you can safely select the 75-watt or 100-watt equivalent brightness setting for this bulb, even if it is replacing a 60-watt incandescent bulb in a fixture. LED bulbs consume much less actual power than traditional incandescent bulbs, so they will not overheat your fixture.

Can I change any of the settings while the bulb is screwed in to the lamp? Is it permanently set once it's screwed in? Do I need to unscrew it from lamp (whatever) then re-set the settings? Am I able to do this at anytime during the life of the bulb?

              1 Answer |
              Answer This Question

You can change both brightness and color of the bulb. This is assuming that that there's enough space to get your fingers around the bulb.

I enjoy this, it’s cheap and extremely convenient with the color temperature options and the wattage options. It lights up well and is an incredibly versatile bulb due to the customizability.

                    Innovation award winning bulb
I heard about this award winning light bulb about one month ago and finally got it on hand last week. I used it for my night stand lamp - 4000K for reading by myself and 3000K when my wife is around since she is quite sensitive to the shades of light. The 6 CCT selections and 4 intensity levels are quite handy when it comes to different preferences within the family and different ambient brightness. It is like having 24 bulbs all in one convenient package. $5 a piece price tag may be a little steep for some people but to me it is totally worth it. Highly recommend!

No more guessing on light bulbs. You can adjust the wattage and color to fit your needs. I used one of these to replace a broken 3000k 60w equivalent bulb and it was a good match. Hopefully they last awhile, I find I get 3-5 years out of this brand.

Select light bulb wattage and color temperature without an app!
Most “smart” bulbs these days are tied to a wireless app and/or a home automation system. These ECOSMART selectable LED bulbs are totally independent of any app, wireless protocol, or any home automation. They achieve light variations by having the switches right on the base of the bulb itself. There is a vertical switch for selecting the incandescent equivalent “wattage” and a collar at the bottom of the base for choosing the color temperature. The wattage (40W-100W) and color temp (2700K-6500K) options give you 24 possible combinations. The only catch is that they need to be manually adjusted, and they behave like single wattage bulbs, so a 3-way socket won’t help you. They’re a common A19 shape with an E26 medium base. The packaging states that they are dimmable and can be used indoors or outdoors (if covered).

Great to have adjustable color temp and brightness without needing an app!
I'm really happy to see products like this, where I can adjust the brightness and color temp easily without having to download another app. Excellent idea! It's hard to capture in the pics, but turning the wheel at the base does adjust the color temperature, and the up/down switch adjusts the brightness. Both of these work very well. I tried one of these bulbs in a few different fixtures on a dimmer, but the bulbs don't work great with that no matter what the bulb settings are. It doesn't dim smoothly and there's some slight flicker when the dimmer isn't turned up to maximum brightness. Overall, excellent product, but be prepared for a possible return if you're using these on a dimmer.

                      Fabulous Universal Select Light Bulb
Amazing ecosmart bulb. Has 4 watt settings, so will work in any lamp. You have 40w 60w 75w and 100w. It also has 6 adjustable settings for white which gives off a variety of color effects you need from your light. One bulb for all your lighting needs and takes up less room where you store your extra bulbs. I am telling all my family and friends about this product.

One light bulb to rule them all
This light is pretty awesome. You have the selectable wattage and color combo. The brightest setting is absolutely gorgeous. While you have the flexibility of a soft light and very low wattage. Plus this light is dimmable which adds a bonus feature for your lighting needs. The light is led based which will/should have an excellent shelf life and last longer. If you are looking for the ultimate lighting solution you have it right here.

                      Awesome fun lightbulbs!
I really like the idea of these lightbulbs. We have them in our bedside lamps. You can adjust the brightness and color with a switch or a turn of the bulb. I like the adjustability of either having our bedroom dark or lighter depending on the mood we want for the bedroom. At night, it is wonderful to turn the brightness down especially since I wake up earlier than my husband so in the mornings I am able to turn this light without waking him up. For those who don’t want to control lightbulbs or pay for a smart lightbulb you have to use an app for this is a great alternative.

                      Cost effective due to versatility
I really hadn't considered the possibility that one bulb could cover multiple brightness and whiteness needs. These do that conveniently. I'm not sure how critical it is to be that versatile--my lighting needs were never that specific. But with these bulbs I could see myself liking the ability to fine tune. LED bulbs generally last a long time so instead of stocking a pack of each kind I could keep one three pack of these. Having a stash of bulbs that can replace a 60W or 100W etc and be warmer for a bedroom or cooler for a workspace would be efficient. I can't comment on longevity so I'm withholding one star until I can be sure these bulbs will last long
