Answer

You would have to check with HD directly. Check their website for any possible specifications. I didn't look at the bin specs directly, so I've no answer for you. I do recall that is was a US supplier, if I remember correctly.

what are the specs of the glue used to glue them together??--is it a weather resistant glue??

You would have to check with HD directly. Check their website for any possible specifications. If one is thinking of using this panel outdoors, the glue - while important, is irrelavent. The wood MUST be protected from the elements and especially for any panels composed of glued wood. Otherwise the panel will rapidedly separate and fall apart.

It wasn't what I thought for the project that I was doing. I was looking for a piece of wood for arts and crafts. It had a lot of wood knots but overall it was light weight and sands really easy. The only downside is that it is a little more delicate than the normal wood that I use for crafting projects. I think it was labeled shelving wood so for that purpose it would be awesome

Took some doing and 2 HD stores to find enough panels (in good shape) to complete my customers project. Don't know if the stores had cleaned inventory or not. Or just low inventory. Found panels that were warped and one that had failed on the glue line and cracked the panel. However, the ones I picked were not marred or damaged. They held up very well during my custom cabinet fabrication. The quality far exceeded the competor's brands (all wrapped in plastic) and all warped or marred. While the wood strips glued together were smaller than desired, they did hold up well and my customer is also satisfied.

Joints not smooth and slightly warped. Just had to sand more than I had expected. The warping gave my finished piece a more home made look.
