Terrible product. I need a flat surface for woodwork. Thought this metal top will be good. It is a thin piece metal surface. Its center warp and flip when press it. Never buy it. Buy a solid piece instead..

Workbench Top
Overall pleased with the quality of the product but it took much longer to receive than expected and then it was delivered to the wrong address as the delivery mixed up the shipments. Luckily we had the other persons shipment and was not to far away for us to go and exchange items. The item also had lots of scratches snd thx shopping container was destroyed.

Good quality
The color is a little darker then I thought, but the quality is very good; very heavy. I will use it as a desktop and believe it will work out well for that purpose.

Not what it seems
This Steel Top Bench Top is a part of a whole work station. It is not a stand alone product. The parts and instructions that come with it, refer to legs and support that do not come with it. It is just a hollow shell, with no way to attach it to any other legs or support. The customer support is not Home Depot, but a third party company that has changed it phone number, and recommends you send the product back rather than help you. The picture and reviews are miss leading. The bench looks solid in the picture. It's just a sheet a steel bent and painted.

freaking amazing
I purchased this bench to set on top of my existing workbench. I had to put studs to support the underbody of the bench. I used the long metal pieces that came with it as a back splash and this product looks amazing in my newly remodeled garage.

Must buy the legs
The table top is nice, except you have to order their legs. No other brand would fit. For me, I just welded a frame together and spot welder the top to it.

Edsal Steel Benchtop
This advertised 1 3/4" thick bench top is really only 1 1/2" thick. Packaging was damaged and repaired. Loose parts were sliding around inside. The corner of one unit was dented.

Not what I ordered but worked out better
Description of this product clearly lists it as 60 inches. This was the length that would work best for my available space. The bench top I received was 72 inches in length. I Pointed this out in the store and was told there must have been a change in the item since the part number was correct. After hauling it home and doing a bit of thinking, I decided to keep it. I cut the top to 64 inches and built the bench over my rollaway tool box. This would have been difficult if the steel top had been 60 inches as advertised. The new idea worked out great! This bench top was a great value for the money for me since I didn't have to pay for legs that I didn't need. I always planned to build legs to raise the bench top to match the height of another bench it sits next to. 5 foot or 6 foot, this bench top is priced right if you don't want the legs

Good, but some issues
The top is very heavy and sturdy with a moderate powder coat. The powder coat does seem to scratch easier that I would have thought. The packaging was poor; the packaging allowed the parts to move around and become somewhat damaged and did not prevent a corner from being damaged so that the powder coat was chipped off and the corner flattened. My judgement is that the packaging was completely inadequate for reasonable handling of such a heavy object. As installed on some steel legs, it is sturdy and useful.
