Product Details

Beautiful crown moulding is a great way to separate and define each room. With each design modeled after traditional plaster type mouldings, our lightweight polyurethane mouldings give the same rich detail, yet at a fraction of the cost. Most moulding profiles can be partnered with our do-it-yourself corner blocks that means no miter cutting for you and most rooms can be completed in ours instead of days. Another benefit of polyurethane is it will not rot or crack and is impervious to insect manifestations. It comes to you factory primed and ready for your paint, faux finish, gel stain, marbleizing and more.

A:  Thanks for reaching out. For a sturdy and long-lasting installation, we do recommend the moulding be installed with construction adhesive and finishing nails/screws along the top and bottom of the profile. We have heard of customers using it for that purpose, although we do not have a specific installation recommendation. Hope this helps a bit!     A:  Not sure if this answer is coming too late or not. I just installed this moulding in our bedroom a couple of weeks ago and I feel like it might look incomplete if you don't match it up on the ceiling and wall. There are definitely better mouldings out there that are made to be attached leaving either the top or bottom open for lighting. Good luck!

      A:  Thanks for reaching out! <br> This moulding is sold per 94-1/2 in. length and can easily be joined with a butt-joint or mitercut. Polyurethane moulding has a similar density to wood (but easier installation) and can be easliy trimmed with general woodworking tools.

            Overall really nice
            This looks really nice once patched and painted. We didn't notice that they are polyurethane in the description. It is incredibly lightweight and almost feels fragile when you are handling it, but it cuts and nails like wood. The only issue is some of the joining pieces didn't match in depth so we are using a patch and paint product to cover up the difference. in some of the joints we didn't have this problem. All in all, it is a really nice finished product and makes the room look rich.

              Easy to paint, easy to install. Perfect if you don't have the skill or time to use wood. I used in a small bathroom so I didn't need any length longer than the 8' these come in. (Actually, they're slightly longer.) Separate inside and outside corner moldings make everything a snap, no coping or mitering. I used Loctite Power Grab Ultimate, on the upper edge to attach to the ceiling. Light weight so I pressed hard into place and it stayed. Then used a few small finishing nails in both edges to secure. Touch up paint on the seams and it looks great.

              Nonexistent Quality Control
              Dimenional accuracy is absolutely nonexistent. No two pieces are even close to the same size. Dimensions differ from piece to piece by as much as 3/8".

                    Looks good installed; wanted something less "ornate" than the normal...
                    Looks good installed; wanted something less "ornate" than the normal crown to match modern cabinets better. As mentioned, they are a little more flexible than wood; however, if your wall/cabinets are plumb it doesn't matter. Only issue was the lower reveal edge was not the same thickness from end to end on one of them - it appears more was removed during their machining process - and I didn't have time to return and reorder. Since these are painted, a little filler once installed fixed that issue but added work.
