A: I purchased several of these two years ago to use as supports for a literal catwalk when we remodeled an outdoor screened in deck. They have held up fine but I say that with a couple of caveats. First, they got a good coating of paint. Next, there is a roof over the deck and they are supports that are on the underside of the catwalk so are not directly exposed to weather. The cats seem to think the corbels are doing a fine job of catwalk support overkill.
A: Thank you for your question, Mike! The Lawson wood corbels are designed using interior/furniture grade wood species and ready for paint or stain. They are solid wood, and if you seal and maintain them, it will help elongate their lifespan on an exterior application.
A: Yes, if they are installed properly they can support up to 150lbs.

A: Yes, they can be painted. I bought mine a few weeks ago and painted them to match my kitchen island.
A: Rubberwood is a paint grade product and is not recommended for use with stains. All other wood species available are intended for use with stains and sealants. Please note finished looks will vary due to the natural coloring each wood. For example: cherry will likely have more of a reddish hue when compared to maple.
