A: Thank you for your interest in this product! The product that your referring to is designed to be a ceiling beam. Ekena Millwork does offer the same product but specifically for mantels. It is still hallow allowing you to cover the old mantel but would also cover the ends! The item number for the mantel is Model # MANURC04X08X84BD. There are several more mantel options that you can check out as well! Good luck on your project!

Q:I ordered these beams, Order #WP60940984. I began to unpack them today and realized one of the beams is broken on both ends who should I contact? They were not protected well on the ends and that is where they are broken.

Look like real timber beams on our 14 foot great room ceiling

We purchased the Hand Hewn Premium Aged beams and installed them on a 14' ceiling. They look awesome and everyone thinks they look like real wood beams. They came packaged well with no defects. Installation was straightforward using the instructions provided.

We have order this beam twice. The beam itself is beautiful. It is good quality and would love to have it in my home. The only reason we returned both beams we ordered was due to the color. The color we ordered from the website was not what was being delivered. In person the color of the beam is much darker than represented on the site. Each time it was very disappointing to have to send it back and not be able to install it. On top of that not being able to go in store to see samples was not helpful.

Horrible Product!!!

These are the worse beams ever. They don't look like real wood. The paint chips off super easy and cutting them has turned into a nightmare!!! Over priced junk!!!!! If I could give negative stars I would!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Not sure how anyone could give 5 star reviews for these beams!
