Bought this a month ago to replace our 3 year old Samsung microwave only unit that bit the dust. This unit looks great and is very easy to use. Like the option that you can just press the start button for a 30 second microwave run. Our kitchen has a single oven/range. The convection oven operation of this unit provides us a second oven to work with when preparing larger meals. Glad we purchased.

Fuse Blows when Door Opens
I bought this 2 years ago to match my range and recently the fuse/circuit blows when you open the microwave door before time is up. Electrician states faulty microwave. So disappointed as I really liked it otherwise.

Previous Electrolux microwave owner.
We were happy with our first Electrolux microwave and when it was time we replaced it with the newer version on the same model.

Solid performer with style.
My Frigidaire microwave died an untimely death and the Electrolux is clearly a step up in both features and style.

Control Panel and Display doesn't work
After about 15-18 months of owning this product the control panel in the display quit working. We did not get an extended warranty as we didn't think the cost of the warranty vs the cost of the microwave balanced out. Boy were we wrong. We contacted our home warranty company for assistance but they wouldn't help because the issue was in the door of the microwave. ugh. Anyways the display basically quit working and the touch screen buttons have increasingly gotten harder to get a response over the years. We have only been able to use the quick start buttons or the start/+30 buttons since the issue started. The warranty company told us the cost to fix the issue was basically about the same as buying a new microwave. I am highly disappointed in this product and the expense to try to fix the issue. As I am finally looking at purchasing a new microwave I am saddened that I have to put forth the money to buy new when everything else on the microwave functions perfectly.

Poorest built microwave I have ever had.
This is the worst and most unreliable microwave I have ever had. I've had it for about 4 years, and after one problem after another, it's finally at an unusable state. I've used a lot of other microwaves, and have only had to replace them because of style or feature preferences, but this will be the first one that I have to replace because it's completely unusable. Here are the problems that I've had in order of how they occurred:
1. When closing the door, a random number would occasionally appear on the display. I could always clear the display and just continue to use the microwave as normal. So this was just an inconvenience that I've just learned to live with.
2. Over time, the door switch would act erratically, so sometimes when the door was clearly closed, the door switch wouldn't register it, so the microwave wouldn't allow me to heat up anything in it. Generally opening and closing it again a couple of times would eventually solve this. Again, I just learned to live with this.
3. The bottom of the door handle broke away from the door. I've always been very careful to gently pull and close the microwave because a technician told me that this and the door close switch was a common problem on this model of microwave. The handle broke away because of a very cheap and weak plastic part that holds it to the door. Search online and you'll see a lot of other people that have had this exact same problem.
4. And finally, the door hinge started to click late last year. It's gotten stiffer over time, and finally in the past week, the door just stopped opening all the way. When we try to open it all the way, the door hinge causes something internally to bind and bend the front door panel. It appears as a dent on the front door. But more importantly, the door can no longer be opened more than a few inches, so it's essentially useless now.
I originally got this microwave for it's elegant design and unique combination of features such as: "glass" control panel instead of plastic, "lower" positioned buttons so it's easier to reach for my wife, convection oven combination (although we didn't find that it functioned that well, so we have only used it twice), +30Sec and Quick Start Buttons, etc.
It's too bad that just after a few years that it has to be replaced. I've had cheapo apartment microwaves last longer than this. It's really very disappointing.

Working on my 3rd door handle in 2 years
This microwave would be perfect if it wasn’t for the door handles. The microwave functions and options are amazing BUT the quality of the materials used on the door handle is junk. The last time I had it repaired the warranty company said they are having to replace a lot of handles. Really sad to have a top of the line microwave with cheap materials

More than just popcorn!
I have had success cooking much more than just popcorn in this microwave. I have successfully cooked cornbread, and the best white rice ever at the same time using one of the 3 shelves that come with it. Very spacious and very intelligent sensors.

More than just a microwave!
There are many great things about this microwave! I purchased it because I wanted one with a high CFM and also to have an additional oven to bake in when needed. At 400 CFM this microwave is as high as they get and because the air is pulled from close to the source it has excellent external ventilation. The microwaving portion cooks very evenly because it has both a turntable and a stirrer blade. Not all microwaves can claim that. The sensor cook works well, but seems to be less accurate when you cover the food with a paper towel to prevent splatters. The convection cooking feature works pretty well; a half size cookie sheet pan will fit with some room to spare. Baked goods don’t achieve the same even browning that a conventional/convection oven can produce, but I’m glad to have it. I have also used the convection setting for bread proofing because it will allow for a 100 degree oven temp which cannot be achieved on ovens because the minimum allowable temp is 170 unless it has a bread proofing setting. The lighting for the cooking surface is placed in the center and brighter than every other microwave I have owned, and in addition to overhead lights in the kitchen my cooking surface is well lit. The touch glass controls are easy to clean and besides, they look really cool. The features on the control panel are well layed out and the electronic readout gives you scrolling help information if you aren’t sure which button to push next. The scrolling feature also reminds you of other features that are available. I love the look of it and it complements by Electrolux induction range!
