Male end blew off after just a couple of hours
Hose was just hanging there on the hoop when the end blew off. I only knew this because it shot water on the glass door, which made me look to see what happened. Had it for all of a few hours, and it's going back to the store.

No kinking and easy to roll up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a heavy duty short hose that would roll up easily and found it with the RV&Marine Multi Purpose Hose. It's thinner than some hoses but works great and perfect for cleaning off rubber boots after working in the yard.

          TOTAL JUNK, broke while connecting
I bought this to hook up my RV, and when I was screwing it into the faucet it broke instantly. If you do have to buy this piece of junk make sure you get a half inch hoses end connectors with plumbers clamps because you’re going to need them.

I bought this hose to extend a 25' Apex-brand RV/marine hose that I had previously purchased at H...
I bought this hose to extend a 25' Apex-brand RV/marine hose that I had previously purchased at Home Depot, a few years ago. About the fifth time I used this new hose, I pulled on the sprayer to pull the hose further down my lawn, and the male connector popped right off! Nothing was broken or torn; the connector just slipped off the end of the hose. (See pic.) Now, I realize pulling on just the sprayer was probably not the wisest move, but I often do it, and sometimes even hard when frustrated by a stuck/knotted hose (but not this time!). I've never before had a hose fitting pop off. My theory is that it failed because the hose material is so thin (compared to my older RV/marine hose), so it stretches more than other hoses. When material stretches, it gets even thinner, and therefore slipped through the compression fitting. The manufacturer has to re-engineer this. On the positive side, it's very light, and never kinked in the few times I used it. The crush-proof fittings seem good. (I don't trust their longevity... Only brass lasts, but maybe they will age at the same rate as the hose material, which is acceptable.) The stress-relief webbing on the female-end connector looks pretty good... Not heavy duty like a metal coil on industrial hoses, but good enough for home use. Note: There was a definite chemical smell in the air when I first used the hose. (I'm sure this is true of all hoses.) Just be sure to flush it well before you consider drinking from it.

Great for use on our deck.
My wife has been looking for a good solution for watering planters on our 50' wide deck. She's tried coiled hoses and other lightweight hoses and given up on all of them. For the last couple of years she's been dragging a regular garden hose. She's very happy now with this smaller, lighter hose. It's easy to move around, doesn't mark the deck when dragged, and doesn't kink. I prepared it as the package specifies to remove the bends left over from uncoiling the hose and to ensure maximum flexibility - run water through the hose, then stretch it out and let it sit for a while in temperatures higher then 70 degrees. The bends disappeared and now the hose resembles a limp noodle and only goes where we want it to. The hydrant connector is large and knurled, making it easy to make a tight connection, or to loosen when removing. This hose is the right length and weight for convenient use on our deck, so we're very happy with it.

moderately priced 1/2" dia. drinking-water hose is lightweight,
This moderately priced 1/2" dia. drinking-water hose is lightweight, quite flexible and easily coiled when water-filled. Hose wall is necesarily thin. I would presume this hose is not designed for long-term exposure to elements (e.g. residential-yard). Use it then store it away. Fittings appear firmly attached to hose. Some report corrosion after extended use. Product packaging does not specify the materials for the fittings or the hose, just that it's "lead-free". Eliminating that "new hose" taste & smell from this potable water-hose may take some effort. Written warranty terms are laughable and only revealed on the inside of the strap-sealed packaging.
