The Elkay Crosstown, stainless steel, double bowl drop in kitchen sink kit is a nice upgrade form my old porcelin sink that is chipping badly. The cleanness of the stainless steel will look great with a new stainless steel faucet. I like the fact that you get the sink grids so your dishes don't sit on the bottom of the sink. Elkay also has done a great job of dampening the sound of water hitting the sink bottom by spraying the bottom with something they call soundguard. The soundguard coating aslo will reduce any condensation that may occur. They only thing that I was disappointed with is the fact the the drains are not included in the "sink kit". Overall I am very happy this the sink and love the new look in my kitchen.

This is a beauty and a great addition to my kitchen. I love the deep sinks and the included metal racks. The sink is protected with thick Styrofoam to minimize dings from underneath and in transit. The sink was easy to install up to the part where you install the mounting clips. The instructions shows the clip with the screw already installed however you will need to install the screw into the clip before installing the mounting clips yourself. No matter what I did neither I or my husband could get the screw into the clip. The written instructions do not tell you to install the screw into the clip by turning the screw counterclockwise. Once I figured that out the mounting clip installation was only moderately difficult due to tight spaces. Elkay does make a screw driver for this process however it does not include in the sink package. I wish I had that screw driver especially for the back edge. My sink is installed as a drop-in. This sink can be installed as undermount with the instructions saying a professional is recommended for this method. This sink looks great however I have to get my "dishwasher" to clean it and wipe the sink down after finishing the dishes as spots do show on its pretty surface.

The Elkay Crosstown stainless steel double bowl sink is beautiful! I absolutely love the look and finish of this sink. This is just the sink, so you will need the rest of the items, drains, faucets, etc, to complete the installation. The instructions are well written and there is a full size and very durable layout to make cutting the location for your sink easy to do. The sink is really light-weight compared to what I thought it would be looking at the box and it is well insulated to reduce noise when clanging the dishes around. What I really liked about this sink is the racks that came with it to keep dishes up of the bottom.

This sink was a nice upgrade to the kitchen. Looks very modern and clean; minimalist too if that's what you're looking for. The cut-outs in the rails for the hardware made for a very easy install. There is a good amount of spray-on insulation at the bottom though I'm not sure if it's any quieter than the previous sink we had. It is one solid piece of quality stainless steel and you can see the welds from the back meaning it was meticulously metal-worked; I don't expect it to easily dent either. We enjoy the drying racks; really saves space on the countertop, and the rubber pieces assure no extra scratches.

Great sink, it is stainless steel and very sturdy with insulation underneath and on the sides. I just dropped it in the hole from the previous sink, it fit perfectly down to the old Fossett. I was not surprised when it came with only the mounting hardware not the plumbing because I read a previous review and it said it did not come with the plumbing. Does this sink was meant to replace an old sink from the previous homeowner that had it all scratched up. We are delighted and happy with the sink. During the installation I put a bead of caulking under the part of the sink that Overhangs to Granite let it dry a couple of hours and then the sink was ready to use

heavy gauge - no give in the metal - this is nice with newer large faucets - I use a high rise faucet
Deep sink - I can bathe my 21 pound cat in this thing
The drain grate is a very nice feature - it prevents things from sitting on the bottom so an item doesnt cover the drain if you dont want that
Very modern design - sharp angles vs the typical slow rounded angels - I also allows more to fit in the sink as a result
The quality of steel is good - I dont see this discoloring easily - it will hold up well

I received this stainless steel sink in excellent condition. There was a minor tear in the cardboard but it did not penetrate into the package. All of the instructions and template were included. The construction of this sink seems to be excellent, with a very uniform brushed surface. The bowls are about 9” deep, and have creases to stiffen the bottom, which also serve to help channel water to the drain.
The underside of the sink bowls has some sort of anti-vibration material adhered to the surfaces. In addition there is a spray of light colored dampening undercoating which seems to reduce noise and vibrations which might be induced by a disposal.
There are two removable wire frame strainers for the bottom of the sinks, which have protective rubber feet.
The underside of the perimeter has attachments to allow centering of the sink in the opening of the counter or aid stiffening or in attaching in an undermount installation. The template included appears to be exact, and gives cut lines for undermount as well as top mount.
This model has a single hole cutout, but additional holes can be cut as needed.
As with all sinks, there is the potential for damage if a heavy pot is dropped in the bowls.
I think it could be a bit thicker to reduce the chance of dents, but this would add weight to the sink. All in all I like it, it’s a good value for the money, and it should serve us well when we get it installed. This sink is made in China.

Wow! This sink is gorgeous and will look great under-mounted or drop in, which is what i used it for in my mini kitchen remodel. I had used other brands before, but not sure I would go back after having the chance to install this beauty. Wife loves the dry racks it comes with (and has already asked if they sell other accessories like strainers). It was super easy to install, with a nice thick template that I was able to trace onto the counters and cut out. Spent less than a day getting the new counters, sink, and faucet installed for a pretty productive sunday. highly recommend.

Very nice sink. Deep bowls, modern squared-off, yet rounded edges. It can be both a drop in or an undermount. I'm super pleased with it. See my before and after pics to understand why! Ha.
I spent days fixing my rotted sink cabinet and putting on a new countertop to get in this great sink & all the hard work was worth it.
The sink does not come with the drains so I bought really nice, more expensive ones to go with it. (see pics) I certainly didn't want to put the old ones back into something so nice.
The clips to hook the sink to the counter are as high quality as the sink. And the sink basin itself, on the outside, has sound proofing around it. I will buy Elkay products from now on.
