A: Thank you for your question on the Dayton GBG2816SS Stainless Steel 25-7/16" x 13-3/8" x 1" Bottom Grid. Yes, this is the recommended bottom grid for the Elkay HDSB332294 Pergola Stainless Steel 33" x 22" x 9"4-Hole Single Bowl Drop-in Sink.
A: I compared drill bits to mine and it's the same size as a 7/68 bit. If you divide 7 by 64, it's actually .11 so bigger than the .040 you were told. (I don't know wire gauge sizes but figured most everyone has a set of drill bits.) The sink grid is pretty strong when we put heavy things in the sink like croc pots, roasting pans, etc.
A: I'm not sure what the Diameter is, but we have been using it for a couple of years and it has held up perfectly...no issues
A: Not sure of the wire gauge but two pics attached show wire with measuring tape. Hope this helps. the frame wire is heavier than the grid wire.
A: Hi, PT thank you for your interest in our Kitchen Sink Bottom Grid. The Thicker wire on the outside is 0.157" (4.00mm) and the smaller wire grid on the inside is0.098" (2.5mm). Thank you for your questions!
A: Hello Mn! Yes, this GBG2816SS Dayton Kitchen Sink Bottom Grid is the recommend bottom grid for a Elkay Dayton Stainless Steel 33" x 22" x 8-1/4" (DPC13322). Thank you for your question!
A: Saves sink from dents and noise associated with sets pans in sink. Glad i got one when I purchased a new very expensive stainless steel sink.
A: This grid would be too small for that size sink if you use it you will have a lot of space around it.
A: Yes I have scratches where all 8 of the feet touch. I leave the grid in the sink when not doing dishes because the scratches occur when doing dishes and the weight and movement of the dishes sitting on the grid is what is causing the feet to scratch. I also clean the sink per manufacture recommendation after each use. My sink guy said the scratches are to deep to be removed without a rebuffing. The feet really need to be redesigned.
A: Yes mine leaves marks. We only remove it when cleaning the sink.
A: No marks because it has rubber stoppers on the bottom
A: I leave it in my stainless sink. I have not noticed that it leaves any marks, but it has been invaluable at protecting the sink from marks from metal pots, pans & utensils.

A: I made one small modification to the plastic feet. They seemed too hard and allowed the grate to slide around. I added a small piece of 1/2" dia. soft clear Tygon tubing about 3/4" long over each foot and allowed it to extend slightly over the end. This allowed just the tubing to make contact with the sink. seemed to be a good easy quick fix.
