How to read the gradient . where the bubble should b How to read the gradient level

All bubble levels should have the bubble centered in the vial. This level has a feature that helps determine how far out of level the object you are checking. The markings allow you to adjust the object to level be suggesting how far out of level it is. The level is only one foot, so if you are working with an object that is several feet long, the actual adjustment will be greater than what is listed on the vial. This is my favorite level when working with small objects such as drawers and drawer slides, as well as door adjustment with European hinges.

The extra lines will show you how much out-of-level the surface is in 24 inches. Very handy when setting drawer slides in cabinets.

I believe that it would be best to contact empire on that issue, may be able to correct the issue, or they may just replace the level.

Great level
I've had this level for over 2 years and it's usually the first one I grab when I'm choosing between the three that I have. It's very accurate at all angles. It is lightweight and the magnet is a plus since it's not too strong. There isn't anything that I dislike on it so far and it does meet my expectations. Please hit the thumbs up if this was helpful.

(What's this)
This level has a great weight, well made and very accurate. The machined edge is made very smooth and clean with an anodized finish. The magnets on this are amply strong and it also is a great way to store it (just don't forget where you stuck it like I did). I found that this is the perfect size level for most projects especially hanging items that one person is doing.

(What's this)
This 24” aluminum level has a host of features. Strong magnets in the base easily hold on to iron and steel. The top side is not magnetic. The protective shock absorbing end caps are removable – that reduces the length to 22 ½”. The solid block acrylic vials are made in the USA and when looking down on the center top vial the contrast is good due to the white background. However, contrast may not be as good when looking from the side at any of the vials because of the colors and patterns in the background. Accuracy is stated as .0005”/inch or half a millimeter over the length of one meter. Each of the end vials is surrounded by a material designed to grip the surface when the level is used on its side. There is also a hole to hang the level when stored. The product feels solid and well-made and a lot of thought has gone into the design and features.

(What's this)
This is a good looking level and passes true in all positions. The "out-of-level" notches are accurate, but I would still double check against true-level if you're trying to pitch anything, just to make sure. The 45 degree tests true as well in both directions. My picture shows I'm just a hair off, but still on the line, of a piece that another torpedo level read as true. The magnet is solid, but not ridiculously strong, which is a positive.

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
My reason for getting this was that during some recent projects I kept having a need for a level of this length and did not have one on hand. I could have sworn I used to have one but all searching was fruitless. I had a 1 ft level (useless) and a couple 4ft levels. This is a very heavy duty and solid built level. The glass is well protected with a solid block of tough clear plastic material rather than having the glass exposed as they are on some levels (like some of the ones I already had) This is a solid tool with some quality to it. The magnetic feature on one side is something I could see being handy at times though most of the time I won't need that. At the least it makes a handy way to store it. I have a couple scaffolds in my storage building and I can just slap this on the scaffold and it is right there when I need it. The markings on it are bold and clear and the bubbles easy to see. That is good when your eyes are going like mine these days. I was not too sure about the blue at first because none of the levels I've had before used that color but it is actually pretty easy on the eyes. I'm just a do it yourself homeowner who uses tools now mostly for projects around the house and on my house but I grew up in a large family of carpenters (12 uncles, several cousins, my father, my brother and myself were all carpenters back in my youth) and I did carpenter work from age 13 to 22 (apartment complexes & houses). I see this as more the grade of level we would have typically had on the job where we used it day in and day out. The glass mounting looks a lot like the old heavy wooden ones we used way back then 35 years ago (seems like almost everything was built heavier back then) I'm sure you can buy more expensive ones but I think these would hold up to a lot of use if cared for reasonably.
