Asked by: Sara
It fits inside the unit. It’s well made made and a nice, low profile unit. I highly recommend it.

Where do the glass rocks go? We put them in but now the flame isn’t coming through.

Did we cover up a necessary ventilation home?
Asked by: Nicole
This unit comes with lava rock and faux logs. You do need to place the lava rocks in with care to avoid covering the ignition box and blocking the burner ports. If you dump the bag of lava rocks in you can end up with dust and small pieces clogging the burner ports. If you are still having trouble please give our customer care department a call at 800-762-1142, they would be happy to help.

Customer Reviews

41.3 in. x 22.4 in. Square Granite Mantle Propane Gas Fire Pit with Faux Wicker Panels is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 64.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent appearance and heat, not perfect construction The design and appearance of the fire pit are far superior to what I expected based on the photos online. The granite top is beautiful and the sides are perfect for the outdoor living room we have. It puts out a substantial amount of heat and is perfect on a cool Northern California night that gets rather chilly. However, while assembling I noticed the legs and supports didn't square up very well. The screw holes weren't always drilled exactly in line and I had to make some alterations to get some parts attached. We picked the pit up to move it once and the whole bottom shifted and came out of alignment, shifting the doors out of alignment. I had to go in and put more supports in because the way the current ones were attached didn't keep it stable enough. These flaws wouldn't keep me from recommending it, just know the assembly is not a 10 minute job. Overall, I'm really pleased with the product and think it's a great addition to my outdoor space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Propane Fire Pit My handy neighbor put this together in about 3 hours with very little assistance or problems. there were 2 steps only where he needed another helpful hand besides himself. He states that it went together nicely, he read reviews ahead of time and tightened all the screws at the end like everyone suggested. It was assembled in the garage and then it took 2 people to carry it to the backyard - wasn't that difficult. The cover is made of a thin vinyl and I'm still searching for a thicker, better cover but so far no luck. We had no trouble with a normal size Propane tank and the unit started up on the first try. We placed the charcoal in one at a time instead of pouring the whole bag in to reduce the dust that other people complained about. I have only used it once so far and it kept me warm. Its too high to keep the legs warm but I kind of figured that when I bought it. Very happy with the purchase and the look of the unit. The only thing I wish it had was an insert to place on top to complete a table when not using the fire pit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our firepit is now the talk of the neighborhood! We are MOST impressed and so are the neighbors! The granite counter, while a traditional and easily found type of stone, is a sturdy thickness -- good enough for an average person to sit on without breakage -- and fits well into our Northwest surroundings. It has good clearance from the flame which can get quite hot. This is really great for cooler nights, but just be careful about leaving non-glass wine glasses and cups on the counter; our glass wine glasses got almost too hot to touch. The romantic ambiance is priceless however, and should not be overlooked. My husband chose this one because the faux wicker panels matched nearly exactly to our current patio set and it can take our current propane tanks without need to buy new ones. It arrived by container truck because of its weight, my father and husband put it together in a few hours (it is a beast), and we had it running that night. The assembly instructions could not have been clearer and everything is clearly labeled, this made it incredibly easy to put together (husband says all you do is follow the pictures!). A bonus feature that is not mentioned in the online features list: it COMES with a cover for both the propane tank and the firepit itself. This was a nice surprise since the weather here in the Northwest is that of a rainforest!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fire Pit!! This has been a great fire pit so far and I love the Granite Top to this item!!! It is a does take two people to put this together safely, I have read on here and recommend that you put the doors that go on last when the unit it is upside down. The instructions show the fire put flipped back over but it does not make sense to do this when it is so much easier while the unit is flipped upside down. I could not find the feet for my set so be careful when taking out all the items in the package, I may of missed it and it could of been tossed but the company is sending me some replacement feet this week. Overall a great product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice pit! The pit is very nice. The Tank hides underneath in a nice slide out drawer which makes changing easy. This is much nicer than most if the others with external tanks. The red lava rocks are kind of ugly so I might change those out. It does tale a couple of solid hours to assemble...lot of parts and pieces. It throws off enough heat to warm the granite and melt your ice but you won't be moving your chairs back from the pit for relief. Hint. If you put the heat to max it goes through propane very quickly. 1 tank in 2 evenings. Set it at about 3/4 and propane will go for 7 nights. Even so, you will never run out of propane at the perfect time so have an extra tank handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful This is nicer in person than in pictures. Easy hour and a half to install and simple. Looks wonderful but doesn't heat as well as some stand up units. Looks very high end for the price. Exact same unit much more expensive on a high end fireplace website. Overall extremely happy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice firepit, poor manufacturing The pit was easy to assembly and look beautiful The burner is missing a part..this was assembled at production... Blue Rhino when called tried to say it was normal operation for it to smoke and turn black with soot The Ventory adjustment nut is missing from the burner...adjustment is just not possible. they ordered a new burner which is on backorder and we don't know when we will get it???? So not using the pit as is...Only other option was to return to Homedepot

Gratefully my father and I are pretty handy together so we put this together successfully in 90 minutes. For everyone who suggested to keep the unit upside down while attaching the doors -- THANK YOU!!! Saved us a headache for sure. We took off the wicker decorations while attaching the panels, it was easier this was as well. Had to call Blue Rhino because we thought we had a defective unit -- it wouldn't stay lit. It turns out we had to keep the control knob pressed for approximately 5 full minutes before all of the air was out of the gas hose and the thermocouple was heated correctly. Also, we did not buy the cover automatically suggested or the one that came included. We bought a cover that is 42 in so that it would fit a little loose, considering you need some room for the stones and rocks above. Overall it is a great accessory to our backyard. We are happy with our purchase.
