I couldn't imagine living without a doggie door, neither could my dog. This one is very well made and is much heavier duty than many on the market. I love the magnet catch that brings the door back to closed position every time, I was concerned with this before seeing it so I left a video of it. The plastic flap material is really heavy duty. and the security panel slips easily on without any hardware to attach - it secures into 2 metal channels so It would be very difficult to infiltrate by hand - it is very secure.This is the one flap door- I would say great for a porch wall or milder climate, I would say you should get the double flap if you live in a area that gets brutal winters. The installation on this one is a little more involved since you do have to cut a hole in your house,I am consulting a contractor since I'm afraid to cut open my house. I would HIGHLY recommend looking at the Enduraflap website, there are installation videos and a list of tools, although the flap is made to be a easy install it does require some cutting. I was pleased also to see it was manufactured in the USA , and they included installation items like sealant and even a jigsaw saw blade.

The Endura Flap pet doors are pretty much the gold standard of pet doors.
You have your choice of three different colors from white, bronze to tan.
Three are all sorts of sizes you can choose from, along with installations for either doors or actual walls up to eight inches thick.
This door is a wall unit, and it will fit in between wall studs with ease. A wall install is not as daunting a task as it may sound. Just keep away from electrical wires and you are good. Many stud finders at Home Depot have a feature that detects wiring.
Just cut your hole in sheetrock, and the outside wall. Fit this inside door piece through and connect to the outside piece.
