Product Overview

Sturdy and strong, but with a touch of ambiance, our 2,000 sq. ft. wood stove covers all the bases. The 2.45 cu. ft. firebox with XBT Technology holds logs up to 18 in. L and can burn through the night with a full load of wood. The latest EPA Certification means that you'll have very clean, efficient burns, but it also means you'll use less fuel for the same amount of heat as older, non-certified stoves. Integrated, wrap-around heat shields offer safer operation and more placement options and stylish, cool-touch spring handles accent the stoves classic style. The extra-large viewing glass gives a full, beautiful view of the fire and we've included a decorative mountain scene door insert with this model to enhance the view even more (you can remove the insert, if desired). A free room air blower is included, for an added value of over $100.

If i remove a couple if the bricks located inside the stove on the sides, for more heat, will the heat warp the sides or any part of the stove?

Asked by Popacool1 April 8, 2021

I don't know if the manufacturer could even answer this question. It would depend on the heat of the fire and the duration. I don't think removing the bricks is a good idea.

You will have the silver mountains it is removable but I’d remove it first if you don’t like it or you may be subject to a new glass seal/gasket which isn’t the end of the world fairly easy don’t over tighten tabs that hold glass in

Yes the chimney needs to be 2 feet above anything within a 10 foot radius. This is so your roof don’t catch on fire if your chimney dose. As far as the outside air. As long as you do not live in a air tight manufactured home there’s really no reason.

How big is the actual fire box and how tall is it to the top of floor to top of stove? Not the flue collar hight anyone know?

I would never purchase any of there stoves again. The blower is super noisy. They replaced it, and the new one was just as noisy. I called the company and let them listen, and they told me all there blowers where that noisy. It is suppose to heat up to 2000 sq ft. My home is only 1800 sq ft. And it does not keep it as worm as the last stove I had rated for only 1500 sq ft. It only takes a 18 inch piece of wood. My other one took a 24 inch piece of wood. So all the wood I had cut has to be cut down to use.

Can you cook or heat water on the top?

Asked by Brent February 14, 2021

Answers

Yes. Poured a little water on it and it boiled away

Tight little stove
They make stoves so efficient these days it took some trouble shooting to get the stove to take( flu/cleanout issues). Now that ive played with it a bit it seems to run fine. The folks at englander stoves are great if you can get them on the phone. They are thorough and i assume thats why they take a while to answer individual calls.

Can't be beat for the price
Very happy with this stove, have been burning wood for about 10 years. I bought this to replace a stove I had in my living room. Burn times 8-10 hours to easily relight with some kindling or smaller pieces. This stove will not heat 2000 sq ft and get 8-10 hour burn times tho! My house is 1350 sq ft and lasts 8-10 hours because it's dampend down on lowest setting. Will keep house 72 in the morning at 18-20 degree outside temperature. Fan blower is obnoxious and I will replace it with a better quality one. The ash drop is semi useless because the plug can be a challenge to get back down in the hole. I just use an ash shovel. Bottom line for 900$ this is great. BURN STOVE OUTSIDE BEFORE INSTALLING IN YOUR HOUSE. Read manual and perform break in burns.

Awesome stove! Little tinkering to get the door adjusted... however has exceeded my expectations do note most wood stove ratings are from the amount of wood they can hold so this when you do the math is just over 60,000 btu’s is the burn you would achieve with optimal wood and optimal conditions. Also I do have a rather tall chimney over drafted my last stove perfect for this one yes over 15 feet. This heats my house awesome @1100 sq ft inadequate insulation 2 inch cotton insulation from flint Michigan sent over in the fifty’s thats 3/4 of my wall insulation ceiling is well insulated. And the basement is uninsulated with a dirt floor. Yes I do believe this would heat 2000 sq ft with ease. Especially with normal insulation at least the typical normal backed pink stuff in a 2x4 wall. Englanders customer service is awesome! I’d save myself two to three grand and pull the trigger I believe I’ll have a stove for many years to come! P.s. no the air adjustment spring handle does not burn you. It does get hot but I grab towards the end of the spring and haven't had any issues. Yes I recommend this product

For all of the people who claim the fire goes out or it’s hard to keep a fire, you’re not experienced at all. This stove works great and throws off some insane heat even without the blower. All I do is get a raging kindling fire with the door cracked, throw some logs cut in half with the door cracked for about 20 minutes until the coals are really hot and still has good flame, then I throw some beefy logs in with a pretzel log. Shut the door and it goes for several hours with the damper half way closed. When you go to shut the door the fire appears like it will go out but I promise you it will not just leave it alone.

Stove is well made and works well. My daughter uses it for her main source of heat. Following the instructions results in an easy start and a single full load will keep the stove hot for over 8 hours. Looks great with the fire going behind the glass door.
