Product Overview

  • Heats up to 3,000 sq. ft.
  • Thermostat (for blower) included for easy control
  • Large 850 CFM blower aids in whole-house heat circulation
Our add-on furnace has been called the "work horse" of our stove family. This stove can hook into your home's duct-work to supplement your existing heating system or you can "dump" the heat directly into a workshop or other large area. The large, 850 CFM blower with thermostat pushes hot air through an 8 in. hot air outlet on the top of the stove and if this hot air is routed into your home's existing duct-work, it can heat up to 3,000 sq. ft. The arched cast iron door and extra-large door glass allow you to check on your fire from the top of your stairs if the stove is in a basement or from across the room if you place it in a large area. The 3.5 cu. ft. firebox can accept logs up to 20 in. L and a huge ash pan below the firebox means that you will have ample room to collect the ash from those big logs. Satin black color accented with stylish nickel handles to look great in any room.
  • Heats up to 3,000 sq. ft. when fed into your existing ductwork; supplements existing furnace
  • High-tech non-catalytic XBT firebox produces maximum results from your fuel
  • EPA certified translates into very clean, efficient burns - you use less fuel for the same amount of heat than non-certified stoves
  • Outside air hook-up provides fresh air for excellent fuel combustion
  • Large 850 CFM blower aids in whole-house heat circulation
  • Cast iron door and quality steel body promise years of durable service
  • Blower (and thermostat for blower) included for an added value of nearly $300
  • Stylish nickel handles are included to fit the decor of any home
  • Accepts 20 in. logs, which means less log cutting than with smaller stoves
  • Extra-large ash drawer for easy ash removal
  • 6 in. top vent fits standard stove pipe and allows for easier installation
  • 8 in. hot air outlet can feed into ductwork or dump into your room (great for heating a shop area, for example)
  • Large viewing glass - check on your fire from across the room or the top of your stairs

Where does this unit get the circulating air (for the rooms)? From around the stove (maybe at the base)? Can it be easily ducted to the house pressure side?
Asked by: johninwinky
The blower picks up the air from right at the stove and it is ducted into the plenum of the whole house furnace where the existing air mover is able to distribute the heat as if it were created by the existing furnace instead of the wood fire.

Can you use this stove as a regular wood stove, such as during power outages? In other words, not use the blower or furnace functions of it?
Asked by: LCS
Mine isnt connected to the blower or the furnace- we have been using it as a regular free standing wood burning stove & it works beautifully! Eventually we will build a furnace room and attach it to the ductwork, but for the last two winters (this will be 3rd) it has kept us very warm, its efficient & we use a lot less wood than we used to on a regular wood stove.

fresh air intake

my stove is located in the basement. my question is can the air intake be in the room or does it need to be outside? I'm a little confused as I have read information saying both.
Asked by: freshair
