A: Two full 13 gallon trash bags. The bottom tapers down. So they need to be stuffed in.

Stood up the the bear as advertised!

My family recently moved to a more rural location and from day one our garbage was being broken into causing a huge mess. I bought a lessor animal resistant garbage can which did nothing to stop the problem. On day 2 of using this TUFF can the bear showed up and the can took a beating with multiple teeth marks etc but it held up and didn't open. It is definitely worth the money! TIP: be sure to lock the bin down in some way, bears will drag it away if they can't get into it on site. I have mine chained to a tree

The design was flawed with a broad opening but a very narrow receptacle that tapered to the bottom. So it barely fit two full 13 gallon thrash bags-even though the capacity of this container was 32 gallons. In any case, the wheels detached and fell off within 2 weeks and the lock broke as well. But, in defense of Home Depot, they let me return it for a full refund.

This garbage can is garbage. The first one I bought had a defective lid, the bear would knock it over and it would open up. Then the wheels fell off. I emailed the creator of the can and they never responded. I bought a 2nd one assuming that was just a lemon. The 2nd one's wheels fell off. When I picked it up to carry it, the handle broke. Also, the metal bar you can see in the picture will slide out of its hole if you try to carry it with that :) Really high quality stuff.
