AnswersMy clock did not illuminate initially, but a some time later it did, for some unknown reason. Hopefully yours will do the same in time.

I did want a clock with a second hand, and so far this clock has been working well! Although the alarm has not been used, it is nice to have in case. I also like the look of this Equity by La Crosse product.

Charming small clock. Indiscrete but with excellent visualization.
One small issue, and am fairly certain I did it, the cover for battery compartment is slightly bent and has to be held in place with a small strip of regular tape. I think it resisted when I opened it and I then used too much power to open it. I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and my sense of touch/pressure placed was out of balance.
The color is a minimal enhancement but makes this small clock a very nice piece in the mist of other items.
It is a nice clock for sale price....

This was entirely due my fault in not understand ing this when i ordered it .

Very cute, nice color, the balls/feet do need to be placed right on the surface so it doesn't tip, but otherwise it's great. Easy to turn gears on the back to set the clock and alarm, little flip switch, everything is pretty simple to use. My mother loves it.
